I think the layoff will hurt the Ducks tonight and Edmonton will win this one 5-2. However, I think the Ducks take the series in 6 or 7; I'll go with 7.

I agree. The layoff will hurt the ducks.
Granted the Avs suck, but Anaheim came off a 7 game series vs Calgary and hand only 1 day off before having to play a rested Avs team. Didn't hurt them did it? Well, same thing here. Edmonton is riding high, Anaheim is coming off an 8 day break, and I see Edmonton carrying their momentum. Any momentum Anaheim had is gone now.
The oilers were 4-0 against the ducks this year, and only finished 3 points behind them. The Ducks also haven't won in edmonton since 1999, and with the rowdy rexall faithful, that'll be a tough challenge for them.
Sorry, I think both Detroit and San Jose are much tougher opponents then the Ducks. Yes, Edmonton has been playing well above their norm, but they'll continue their play.
Edm in 6.

This one could honestly go either way in my mind, everything depends on both teams continuing to play hockey like every game could be their last. The one certainty is that this will be the first series in these playoffs for both teams where neither squad is considered a heavy underdog.
For the sake of consistency, I'll continue my ill-fated streak of picking against Edmonton.
Anaheim in 7

I disagree. I would have considered Anaheim a favourite over Colorado or the very least an equal. Similar to San Jose being a favourite over Nashville.
In any case, I appreciate your pick, for superstition purposes obviously!

To digitalmonkey and ajs510...
if this goes to a game 7 (which it won't)....there is no way the oilers will lose a game 7. oilers in 4

Steve,
It doesn't matter who you start because you have a horse shoe up your ass so far I'm not really sure how you get through the day. You must be gay.

Oil in 6 games.
More heart, more passion and they just plain want it more. They are willing to sacrifce and that's what it takes to get the 16 wins you need to win the cup.
Buffalo takes the other series and Edmonton takes the cup in 6 as well.

Oilers in 5-6. Go OIL...these ****ers better not blow it because they knocked out my boys in Round 1. But I've always loved the Oil too so I don't really care.

Ducks in 6. I wouldn't be surprised if the Oil win it, but I think the Ducks are going to pull through again.

It's just not very likely. The Ducks didn't come this far on luck. They are playing amazing hockey. I'm sure they'll at least win one game...
