Can Someone Pleae Explain The Razz Mentality

Im running so bad right now with Razz, it just makes no sense. Im not going to bother posting a bunch of hand histories right now, but rather want to get some others thoughts on what this opponent was thinking, so that I can understand why I am losing so much money in this very basic but frustrating game (I lost them all, despite betting/raising their bring-ins and making them pay for every new card):Note: Because FTP scrambles the down-cards cards at showdown, we don't know exactly what they had to start, so I am showing all 3 down-cards, but they only have 2 of the 3 obviously)My hand Their hand(4 5) 6 9 (6/3/2) Q 3 (A 8) 6 A 2 5 (5/4/4) K A 6 3(A 7) 2 3 7 4 (4) (5/2/A) K 6 3 5Sure, my opponents had fairly good/great down-cards, but according to all the books, calling the completion of the bring-in with face cards just isnt a winning play in the long run, and yet this ONE opponent has somehow been able to circumvent all conventional wisdom and win each and every one of the showdowns.Small edges - that's what DN recently talked about pressing in Razz. I had fairly large edges in each of these hands, against clear donkeys, all with disastrous results. I would love to be able to say that I will be giving up this no-skill/crapshoot game, but it is just so damn addicting (especially when you know you are light-years better than your opponents, but clearly do not have any results to show for it.)

you're on the right track man. they're clearly not. and yes, playing with face cards up is definitely -ev. face cards can still be played if you have two other good cards with it, and depending on the table, but face up, i chuck them simply because i'll be acting last almost every time on the same street.
