check out this batman board to see how absurd it is to think batman would win.http://boards.ign.co...0&ui=cb_post_01some good points captain america is a s strong as a non mutant can get, he can lift 800 pounds max, him and the bat fought for hours,spiderman can lift 10,000 max no contest. I agree that on physics alone one punch at spidermans full force, and there is no more batman.

As I stated in a completely unrelated thread, I'd put my money on Spiderman 3-2 over Batman. Great matchup though.And sorry about the Daredevil comment, you are entitled think he is in deed an A-lister.

Well in my own defense I am a bit of an oldschool marvel nut and daredevil, wasa my first favorite, but I definately give him props on agility, and the non super mutant list he is formidable.but the old school human heroes really don't have any chance against the mutant superheroes in my opinion, they just are 2 different worlds.

I still say Spike Speigel. He was able shoot and kick his way through the syndicate in their own lair. He also died once before too

Batman cheats. It's how he wins. Batman the whole way. But Spidey has way cool powers (and I'm not talking about the webs...those are synthetic and not natural like in the movie). Anyway, tight/aggressive is the way to go. :-)

Spider-man has beat down guys like Venom.,, I think Venom would demo Batman., Now Batman was my fav. hero , but only cuz he is a regular human, turned hero. But spidey would kick his azz

now that's what I'm talking about. The Peirrot LeFou episode was probably the best. I'd love to see a prequel series of just him and jet doing the space cowboy gig

I'm gonna make an effort to draw an anology to poker here and try to make it somehow related to what poker is about.First, Batman would beat Spiderman. While Spiderman has superior powers and is fine superhero, Batman is a student of combat and would eventually out think Spiderman. Think of Spiderman as a Loose Agressive poker player and Batman as a Tight Agressive player in a heads up NL holdem game. Spiderman, being the reckless and over confident individual he is, thinks he can overpower Batman. Therfore Spiderman raises, re-raises, and goes all-in on several occasions. He's just bullying Batman right off the table, and trying to finish Batman off with a quick fatal blow. Well Batman's no fool. He's not about to risk his entire chipstack to this lunatic. Batman instead pokes and prods at his opponent looking for that fatal tell (weakness) or seeing if he can fustrate his opponent (by refusing to play along) into making a mistake. By the way, I think Spiderman would become extremely fustrated once he realized that his aggressive moves had no effect on Batman (as Batman just sits over there with that stone cold pokerface). Once Batman finds that tell or Spiderman makes that fatal mistake, Batman exploits it to the fullest. At this point Spiderman would be toast. The trick is for Batman to last long enough so that he can find that tell or mistake. I think he would last that long given his intelligence ans control over his emotions. Spiderman, driven by his emotions, would eventually fall to pieces.By the way, Batman would pound Spiderman in a heads up poker match.

Ah! I agree, def one of the best episodes. I also am a fan of any one involving the sindicate. Very well written, action packed show with deep character developement.

I like the part about the Spidey-sense, and that definitely gives an edge to Spiderman, but I still feel Batman wins in the end. True the Spidey-sense is a great weapon, but eventhough he has that he still gets the crap knocked out of him every once in a while. That has to be due to Spidey's own carelessness when he is over confident and ignores his greatest asset. And the key for Batman is not how to play Aces (anyone could do that), its taking advantage of Spiderman's weaknesses. Bottom line, while Spiderman SHOULD win, his own carelessness and other flaws will cause him NOT to win. Batman has a superior edge in intelligence, self control, analytical skills, and the abiltity to adapt to his opponents. With all those edges, I think Batman wins.

I've watched my DVD set all the way through countless times. Ballad of Fallen Angels is my favorite episode involving Vicious

Yea, I had the all the episodes on my comp til it died. But yea, the shot of him falling out of the church window, looking up at him, with the cool Spike/Vicious choir music going, and then the explosion is one of my fav shots in the whole series. Also when Julia got shot and the doves flew by. All very well done.

the symbolism is just amazing. The ending is also sureal. I love the music when he's falling out of the church too. It just seem so fitting. The music when Jet's chasing Elisa and Rint is great too. Man I could talk about this show forever. Have you seen Outlaw Star also. A bunch of the voices that're in Cowboy Bebop are in Outlaw star too

Yes I saw it a couple times, I don't remember it too well though. I think the timing or something, I just couldn't get into it. However, have you heard of Samurai Champloon? It's a newer series in Japan, my cousin showed me a couple of dubbed episodes, it is by the creator of Bebop. Pretty awesome animation in that too, great fights also.P.S. Sorry Jay to get into this, I guess I'm really out of the closet now, eh?
