NOFX_PUNK 0
2/4 LHE - 6 handedI have about $150 in front of me when I get AA in SBUTG raises to $4Button callsMe 3 betBB foldUTG callsbutton callsFlop - AsKsQhI betUTG raisesbutton callsI raiseUTG callsbutton callsTurn - TsI bet UTG raisesbutton callsI callRiver - KhI bet UTG raisesbutton foldsI 3 betUTG capsI callFinal pot - $90I show AAAKKhe mucks AKQJT (he was holding JJ)Firstly apologies for the format - I can't find the specific HHWhat do you think of the way I played this? I wsa planning on check calling the river at best unless I hit my cards - it was a very uncomfortable time to flop a set with so much action in the pot and 2 opponents.Should I have slowed down and played less aggressively given all the action? I didn't have much of a read on UTG but the button player was fairly loose passive and would call down in big pots and fold the river on draws. This was after about 25 minutes at 2/4 table - I havn't played much at this level and after this hand was glad I hit a nice hand at this level instead of 1/2! However it's a little out of my assigned BR so I won't be doing it again for a while! Thanks for reading
pokerplayer24 0
StandardEdit for more detail. He has AK AQ KK QQ or something like that way more often then JJ. Because both the A and K of spades are out I think you can mostly discount him being on a flush draw as well.
Actuary 3
you played good.
checkymcfold 0
looks fine to me.verging on FPS, but you might keep the button in for a bet if you check the river and let UTG bet for you the first time around. but that risks it checking through (unlikely, but possible), so that decision would depend on reads. your play was standard, though.interesting question: imagine we're UTG. can we fold the river somewhat safely? what range can we possibly put our hero on that we beat with a straight? KowboyKoop 0
I think I'd go for a check-raise on the river....but not sure if that's "more correct" or whatever than leading out.....otherwise it's standard I think....

Not one I can see myself making but makeable all the same. Given the action pf and on every other street I can see our hero having flopped a set without any real reads, given that they slowed down on the turn when the straight hit the board and lead out again when the board paired on the river.EDIT: Karma is a beatch - just came across the other end of a hand almost identical to this - I paid him off on the river, despite my own advice! ! - even when I knew he flopped a set - In this case, given he is 2:1 to make a FH by the river should I ease of the aggression bearing in mind I'm not going to be able to get him to fold and I am just building a big pot I have a good chance of losing?PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is SB with T, K.
