jonnyz 0
HeyTurning Stone has a nice cardroom IMO. They have about 20 tables for ring games and another 15-20 upstairs for tournaments which they have daily. They usually have holdem and stud running all of the timeNo Alcohol (last time I was there although I think they are applying for a licence) and no smoking in the card room.Holdem they have 1-3 to 20-40 and they usually have a $100 max buy-in $1-$2 blinds no limit ring game as well. I think on Friday nights they have a real no limit game $5-$10 blinds I think.Stud they have $1-$5 spread limit and sometimes a $2-$10 spread limit or $2-$10 stud HL which is fun.The rake is a little steep but nothing out of the ordinary for an area that doesn't have a lot of competition. $3 rake at 5-10 and below(so don't play anything below 5-10 or you are getting killed) The kicker is that they take the rake as soon as the flop hits so even if there is $10 in the pot they take $3! 10-20 has a session $5/half hour, 15-30 $6/half hour etc.JonP.S I live about 2.5 hrs from TS where are you from Duff? Warsh107 0
Hey, I've played at turning stone, mostly due to the fact that i'm only 18. its a dry casino so dont expect any "duff" up there. the card room is good, they recently added a 1/2 100 max buy in no limit table, they also have 15/30, 5/10, 3/6, 2/4 and 1-3 hold em. 1-5 stud occasionally, daily tournaments with pretty quick blind increases. saturday (or friday, i forget) nights they have a big game, 300 min buy in, Al Krux plays in that he's from nearby syracuse. the dealers and staff are nice, and the cocktail waitresses keep a nice supply of soda running. nothing compared to the taj but hey, its verona NY. maybe ill see you there.Greg

looshle 6
Hey I went up to Turning Stone about a month ago. I live 30 min from foxwoods but I'm not 21. All I did was play holdem up there, a lot of kids who aren't that good were up there, playing tight at first but loosening up alot as the night wears on. I played the 1/2 $100 max. WAs up like $150 after 4 hands, jj 99 and jj, but took some bad beats along the way. One hand it was raised up to like $7 and I got caught between raisers so I ended up putting $20 in, and with a couple callers I called from the button w/ 9 8 Flop comes down 6 7 8. Oh baby. I think I had about 50 left, anyways it ended up going all in on the flop. Turn=5. My pot. WOOO! River= 9 :? Split pot... Girl at the end of the table throws up pocket 10s. No pot.I also played in their $100+ 20 MTT. There was about 65 people in it, and it ran pretty smoothly. I was card dry the whole tourney, I got 3 1/2 hours deep after they raised it every 15-20 min with getting AK once and never getting a pocket pair. Think I finished 15th out of 65. But I recommend it to anyone underage especially living in upstate NY.
