ive been seeing a lot of stealing lately in games like .50 /1. limit holdem. ive always thought it was silly to try and steal 75 c. Can stealing these small amounts be worth it?

I've never found it even close to being worth it. I might bet hard, hope to be called, then bet hard on the flop to trap that call- but never just for the blind.
Suddenly I turned around
And she was standin' there
With silver bracelets on her wrists
And flowers in her hair.
She walked up to me so gracefully
And took my crown of thorns.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

if you happen to find yourself stuck for some reason in a tight game with a flop average under 25% then yes, it's worth it.

Can stealing these small amounts be worth it?Yes, because if you don't get used to it now and defending, too, you're going to get killed in $1/$2 six max when you get there. Is is +EV? Sure. It's probably +EV if both blinds defend every time if your stealing standards aren't crazily loose.

I like steal attempts at any level. It's a huge part of the game dealing with both table image and use of the button advantage. SB and BB both risk playing marginal hands against the button, and I as the button have the edge in determining how hard to push after the flop. At the least you will gain much info from the players on your left which will become usefull in case you do wake up to a monster in the future.

You are suppose to make a certain amount of BB/hr. by stealing the blinds you pick up .75BB. By stealing you maximize your expected value, at any limit.

i do steal occasionally.. i guess its because i rarely sit down in a game thats tight and and makes stealing easy. I try to choose tables with at least average 40% of people seeing the flop. Also...usually when someone tries to steal my blind..ill fight back with any decent hand..because i hate the idea of someone trying to push me around. so no matter the flop ill fire out a bet. But if they call I usually slow down on the turn unimproved. Some people would reccommend continue betting on the turn as well since the fact that they just called but not raise is a sign of weakness. And also fighting back usually stops people from trying to steal from me so it equals more free flops in the blinds. What do you guys think?

Hey sometimes the best defense is a stong offense so I agree to an extent. But I think too much stealing from blind stealers can lead to a negative table image. Lose little now, Win big later.

I try to steal whenever I get the chance, It's a good habit to get into. Yes, it is more important at the middle limits, but you need to get into the practic of it so that you know what your doing when you get to the higher limits(which I'm assuming is your goal)
