I like it. You could even argue for raising the turn and still calling down.I also liked the way you played the other hand. Maniacs are awesome.*edit - In fact, raise/cap the turn, call the river.

I like the way OP played it; I don't like raising the turn. On the turn, we only have 60% equity against a random hand, and by raising we likely fold bluffs and get called or raised by better hands. If we're ahead, then if villain typically has 7 outs, if he will bluff the river UI, then it doesn't really matter if we raise and he folds the turn, or if we just call and induce a river bet.

We really can't beat much here, can we?

On the turn, we only have 60% equity against a random hand
The only way we can really proceed with this hand is exactly this: if we put him on a "random hand".Which, given your read, and the fact that he was already in the big blind anyways, seems certainly possible.Calling down is the common play against these maniacs. But at what point to we draw the line?A hand like Q-high probably wouldn't be good enough to see the river.K-high is cutting it closer.
*edit - In fact, raise/cap the turn, call the river
That seems like a really bad idea.Raising a maniac with a draw plays right into his hands.Little to gain; Lots to lose with that play.--cm

I think we're ahead on the flop, but what are we beating on the river? All paint has hit except our King, and our kicker is marginal. Albeit, KT is the only unpaired hand that beats us, so I suppose if we think K-high is good, then K9 should be good.
