Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)MP1 ($52.94)MP2 ($22.50)MP3 ($94.19)CO ($39)Button ($57.41)SB ($23.95)BB ($20)UTG ($54.30)Hero ($55.70)Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K :D , K :D . SB posts a blind of $0.25. 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.5, 1 fold, MP2 raises to $4.5, 5 folds, Hero raises to $10, MP2 calls $5.50.Flop: ($20.75) Q :club: , 2 :) , 7 :D(2 players)Hero ???My feel for MP2's range was JJ-KK (gotta assume that AA would shove pre-flop) and maybe AK.Aside from our flop action, would it be better (given MP2 has a short stack) to just push pre-flop instead of re-re-raise?

Push this preflop. He's way too short to get away from a hand like QQ, JJ or even maybe ak.
That's my feeling as well. I think at the time I simply forgot to look at his stack size.Any thoughts on what we do on the flop, given that we didn't push pre-flop?

Why did the flop kill him? Do we put this guy on AA or QQ?I'm pushing this every time.He can't fold, no matter what he has, as most ofhis money's already in the pot. This is almost a dream flop for KK.Hopefully he has AQ.

I meant more in terms of either 1)putting him behind in the hand to one of the hands he was beating (QQ) 2) may have killed the action from other hands tha twould have called a preflop push, JJ 1010. (maybe he'll lay down ak on this board)Relatively: we are now getting calls from better hands more often than preflop and more folds from worse hands than we were preflop.Edit: also, some one who sits at these games w/ $20 can get away from this on the flop since it would be for "half his stack"

QFE.Push-pre flop.I had this scenario come up last night in the $50 6-max while holding QQ.I'm in the BB with $120. Folds to button who limps. Button and SB have like $15. I've decided that I'm going to jam to any raise. Sure enough, SB raises to $3, I very quickly jam. Button folds, SB tanks... and calls with 44. Since hypothetically results don't matter, I hypothetically could have lost to a set on the flop... but hypothetically it only cost me $15.

I think your ahead here. You could push preflop but the fact that he didn't push allin preflop could probably rule out AA for him. Just push on this flop and hope he didn't get lucky with QQ or doesn't suck out on you. But i think pushing preflop is a good play.
