I was playin a dealers choice home game 20 pence antes all games last night and pot limit pinapple was suggested. This is a game where you get 3 cards instead of 2 and you discard one after the flop. So, Under the gun raises the pot (£1.20) and is folded round to me on the button and and I see AK9 suited ace so I call pretty loose game and I figure he's on something that he would see a flop with even if I reraised after an UTG max raise.Flop A33He again raises the pot for about half his stack? now what would you put this player on? and what would you do with the AK?

I would expect the rest of his stack in the pot by the turn. Not impossible that he flopped a set and placed a large bet considering the loose game, but more realistic that he has an underpair like 99 or a suited Ace in which case your King is good. Since you didnt mention whether you had a flush draw I would set him in now if I intended to call or fold if got a good read on him its not like your pot committed at that point. Pineapple is not my game but its kind of fun sometimes.

Crazy Pineapple which also known as Irish in the UK is possibly my least favorite game it is a horrible mutant neither Omaha nor Hold'em. The situation you described is perilous unlike Omaha top pair top kicker has some value particularly as some players will give action with top pair moderate kicker. The trouble is there is nothing to say he has'nt come into an raised pot with a hand like JJ3 and now has you absolutely strangled. Heads up I might see this through to the river if my opponnent is loose but multi way I would dump it as somebody will have a 3.regards

Life is a gamble at terrible odds if it was a bet you would never take it.

Well I know this guy pretty well, A profitable Internet player and a good guy but he loves a bluff so putting him on the ace at best worst case he's got Ax3 I have to move in. Well the guy turns over843 !!!!!!!!!!!!!How do you play these guys. I have no clue how I got trapped into it but I suppose its one to put in the memory bank for later.
