Kadomang 0
How do you guys and gals cope with sitting in front of computer screen with all the possible combinations of hands going through your head?I see that as being the main thing from keeping me from getting over the top into good money. I seem to be consitently finishing high but just hand after hand wears me out and I make stupid moves that cost me money I need to stay focused and fine longer.Any tips? dtemp 0
You could try playing more cash games. When the consequences of your stupid plays have immediate and more detrimental results on your bankroll, you learn to stay focused. Plus, you can set your own hours and slowly increase your comfortable playing time. Also, you could try to stop worrying about winning the tournament and instead just play every hand the best way possible. I am now comfortable playing 10+ hours at a time. Put yourself in the same situation enough, and it becomes easy.
Smasharoo 0
I occassionally make a really stupid play or bad read playing NL, I think everyone does.In a cash game it's not that big a deal, in a tournment I end up thinking "why did I waste the first 3 hours playing this thing again?I've gotten better at it, but MTT's are still much less EV for me than cash games more because of the averaging out over time of wins and losses than anything else.I guess I'm saying I know where you're coming from here. JaysonWeber 0
It just takes time to learn your limits.. and push them.. as WRTO said, you find your limit... My limit used to be 1 tabling after 4 hours.. Now I can safely say that I can 3 table for 8-10 hours without making a dumb play due to fatigue.
