BearCanada 0
I realize that the chance of a miracle, while infitesimally small, is not exactly zero.I have faith that tomorrow holds new technology that will release me from all the obligations I have today.Do not put off what you should do today until tomorrow, if there is any chance it could be forgotten about forever. If you build a boat, you may be known as a boat builder. If you build a house, you may be known as a house builder. But if you **** one goat... that shite lasts longer the a DeBeers diamond.I used to be apathetic and indifferent but now I'm not sure if I really care. What if D-O-G really spelled cat? Shimmering Wang 1
I like that one.Yeah, that's always been my favorite. When I was younger (13/14) I was going through a rough stretch, and an older man I knew, who was kind of an uncle figure I'd gotten to know through sports and some similar interests, pulled me aside. He had 3 kids, one of whom had died in a car wreck a few years earlier, and another of whom had been born with autism. His wife was battling cancer (successfully). He was a very good man who'd had some very bad things happen to him, through no fault of his own. I was always shocked how incredibly positive and... happy, I guess... he was. When I asked him about it, he just smiled at me, looked me in the eyes and told me:"Derek, I've had some bad breaks. But why would I dwell on them? I mourned for my sons, and I cried for my wife. But I realize that happiness and contentment are not issues of luck or chance; happiness is a choice, a determination to react to circumstance in such a manner that contentment must surely follow and despair will never- CAN never- triumph over the human spirit. Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react. Remember that."And I have.Wang
