Just in time for Barry Bonds' latest chase with baseball's record books, UP FOR GRABS is the true story of the infamous court case over Barry Bonds' record-breaking 73rd home run ball. The film shows the hilarious lengths to which two fans went for a potentially multi-million dollar baseball, but ended up with way more than their allotted 15 minutes of fame.I watched it all. It was interesting because I never knew who ended up with the ball. I found it funny that one of the guys who split the profits of the ball ended up losing money overall. If they would have just agreed to split it up equally in the beginning without taking it to court, then neither would have to worry about lawyer fees. One of the guys had about $500,000 in lawyer fees, while the other guy didn't have to pay a dime for it.Also, the ball only sold for $450,000 because their greed did not turn on the bidders. They expected the ball to sell for $1 million to $2 million.

Afterwards they claimed they didn't go for the ball for money but for the actual ball. Then they were asked why they didn't just give it to Bonds or the HOF if it wasn't all about money,but of course they really didn't have an answer to that.If Bonds ends up breaking the record, I can't imagine how much that ball with be worth.
