Steal Attempt Turns Into Top Two

This is from a .50/1 PLO game on Bodog. I've been playing at this table for quite a while at this table, and after initially raking quite a few largish pots, the action has slowed down considerably. I've been playing pretty aggressively, and I did lose one large pot recently when I got caught on a steal. Call. You have top two and 2nd flush draw. He could have made double flush draw on the turn card and is attempting to steal is right away..

I vote raise. You probablly have the best hand. If you don't you still got to call on the river anyways. You might as well forse someone with a straight or flush draw to push their chips in as a dog.

Villian has played pretty solid and straightforward throughout.Villain is more likely waiting for a safe turn card to bet his set.I will just call. I counted as we have 14 real outs (2Qs, 2Ks, only 7 spades excluding the 5, and 3 Ts) of the remaining 45 cards.We have 9 heart outs (6h, Kh subtracted) to bluff on the river.

I did lose one large pot recently when I got caught on a stealOh shoot, you might want to subtract your heart outs there. Fold is an option.

Well, this is what I was thinking. I didn't see villian check-calling the flop and then leading the turn with a set. Just didn't make sense to me. I figured he either turned a huge draw or else hit top two with me and that he if just had top two, he might fold to a repot.Unfortunately, this was right:

He called with bottom set, the river blanked, and he took down the pot. I've played quite a bit of capped PL Omaha against donks at the casino, but I've only been playing seriously online for a week or so, so I haven't quite picked up on what some of the odd lines usually mean. Check-call the flop, and lead the turn for the size of the pot was a new one on me. If people regularly make that kind of play with a set though, I'll keep that in mind for the future.

Pretty odd play by villain IMO, unless he also had the nut heart draw.

Nope, he had (5d, 5c, 7d, Kh) to be exact. I almost wonder if he thought the king improved him. You never know on Bodog.

LMAO. In a Stars PLO sng yesterday I saw somebody call down with A456 to a board of KQJ3 rainbow. All he needed was a ten for the nut straight, or a 7 for the low straight. Oh wait...

If people regularly make that kind of play with a set though.No you just happened to run into a decent player, most of the players will let you know on the flop. Most poor layers don't make those kind of play fortunately. Waiting for a safe turn to pot your set increase your pot equity, you are not pot-committed by not raising the flop, and confuse your villains.
