I'd have to fold here. And like everybody else said, you needed to bet more on the flop, and definitely more on the turn.Unlikely some of the others, I don't think villain has a straight or a flush. There were no straight or flush draws on that flop, and Villain still called. Since he didn't check/raise, he either has a piece of it or some kind of pocket pair smaller than Kings. On the turn, he still just check/calls, which (unless he's really smart/tricky -- see below) says he'd like to see a reasonably priced showdown. And, then on the river, he leads with an overbet. Which is either a donkey move, or is intended to look like one. I think it is the latter.My best guess is that villain has KQ and made his hand on the river. I suspect he was a little afraid of AK on the flop and turn, and then hit his two pair on the river. He overbets hoping you'll think it's a bluff.Other possible hands for villain are JJ (which would warrant a call on the flop, and then sets you up on the turn), QQ (which would explain the overbet on the river, but seems like he would have re-raised pre-flop), or 88/33 which he slow played (normally not a good idea, but that flop and turn aren't really that scary for a set).I don't really see any other likely holdings for Villain. How many people at the table? Any reads on villain? In particular, has he made any other overbets like this?

If we aren't betting more preflop, I see no reason to bet more on the flop.Flop is drawless.Paying him off for hitting the flop hard, when we only charged 1/30th of our stack preflop, seems silly.1/2 pot on both streets is cutting his odds to hit back door draws fine.just don't pay off the river.keep pot size manageble, or Raise more preflop and don't give the implied odds potential to start with.imo.

I agree with Actuary...flop bet and turn bet were fine...large enough to give villian incorrect odds to chase and kept the pot manageable.I also agree that you should fold the river and wait for a better hand.Well played.
