KowboyKoop 0
I don't think fans should get to vote for All-Stars.......I'd rather all the managers and players vote. But I know that that will never happen..

But I know that that will never happen..I've been saying that for years. The game should be for the people who deserve to be there, not who the fans want to see there. I remember sometime in the late 80's when Canseco missed the entire first half of the season and was still voted into the game. Stuff like that should never happen.

But I know that that will never happen..I agree but didn't really care before, but now that it actually "matters" fan definitely shouldn't get a say. The argument the media always gives is that it's for the fans so they should get to see who they want. That's ignorant. The fact most of the people chosen are always gonna be the stars the people want to see anyway, but you'll get the good young players they haven't quite heard of yet. Plus you always here when talking hall of fame how this guy made XX number of all-star games and crap. If that's gonna be criteria, fans shouldn't get one lick of a say in things. If that's gonna be criteria, fans shouldn't get one lick of a say in things.Mostly I don't like it because of all the reasons already listed and the fact that the players on big-market teams have the most obvious advantage ever, I mean...if an OF for Tampa Bay and a OF for the Yankees have the EXACT same numbers, of course the Yankee's player is going to win....that team has a ton more fans! Just because your team has more fans doesn't mean that you deserve it more than equally good or better players who just happen to play on smaller market/fanbase teams...it just makes zero sense. Certain teams have an unfair advantage of voting people in. ex. large market teams and huge fan bases like Boston and New York.
Azreous 0
I'm just waiting for Ken Griffey Jr. to get injured so the fans can vote him in as a starter. It's like an annual holiday, like Christmas.
