GrinderMJ 0
What do you think his likely range is to call down to the river like this, with you showing tons of strength the whole way through?

GoCryWolfe 0
I'm not sure what the question is...if he has you beat, it is with Q10, not a 9. Or, possibly a KJ for a better 2 pair. I think you have to check/call.

I think you have to check/call.turn was where i found out if he had two pair or a straight.I didn't think he had either one of QT or KJ.--Basically my question is...if we lead..how much? if we check, are we willing to call all in?He was sporadic with his bluffs. He loved to bluff, but rarely did it against me. I was planning to check/call if I indeed did check. However, I was slightly 'nervous' that if i checked he'd check behind...- Jordan
GoCryWolfe 0
So are you suggesting he has a hand similar to KQ? Top pair, 2nd kicker, and a gutter to go along with it? I also don't see this as a backdoor flush either. So even if he bets on the river when checked to, he is probably trying to represent the flush. That seems like a reasonable hand. No matter what, if we check, he is going to bet. What hand could he have that would call the whole way and then check the river? We just have to muster the courage and call it down and see either we got kicked in the balls with a Q10 or that we had him dominated with a KQ.Now that I think about it a lil more... is anyone else thinking a possible AA? The cutoff raised, the button called, folded around and button calls? I still think the more likely hand is KQ, but AA is remotely possible?
iggymcfly 0
From your notes, he looks more like a guy who hates to give up on a pot after he has money invested, than someone who loves to bluff for the sake of bluffing. Honestly, if you really think he was calling you down with something like top pair or pair and a gutshot, I think your best play might be to lead weak with the intent of inducing a bluff.I bet that if you bet something like $30 or $35 here, QQ, QJ, JT, TT, and maybe even KT will be pushing all day here. This is a really read-dependent play though, and without actually playing with him, I can't say for sure that that would be the right move.
