KowboyKoop 0
I mention the idea of trading Grudz at the end of the year for some decent starting pitching and possibly making Esteban German our starting second basemen for next year (who has looked extremely good thus far and gives us some much needed speed on the basepaths), and I get blasted because they say that "Grudz is one of the very best second basemen in the league" and that "he is only 31 years old and he is getting better" (he is actually going to be 36 in June) and that Grudz should be kept here for years to come.......if this were only one or two people...that's one thing...but this is what every single one on there is saying!! WTF!?!?Anyone on here actually think that Grudz is one of the best second basemen in baseball??Yeah...I didn't think so. God these "Royal fans" are idiots.......they'd rather keep a decent 36 year old third basemen rather than get some good pitching for him because they think his .320 OBP is "irreplaceable" or something......retards. Why did I start a thread about this?? I don't know...but it's been fun.
KowboyKoop 0
Awesome....just found out that Mark Grudzielanek is THE best at turning the double play OF ALL TIME. Not one of the best....THE best. F*cking retards......they also would refuse to trade 36 year old Grudzielanek for Dave Bush of the Brewers, a 26 year old 4.09 lifetime ERA starting pitcher..........just stupid. wsox8 10
Bush would be a good aquisition. He looks good this year so far... Yes, it sure seems like those people on the message board are morons. Hah what a joke
Azreous 0
They must want to trade Reggie Sanders though. He's horrible.
KowboyKoop 0
They must want to trade Reggie Sanders though. He's horrible.Actually....he will likely be traded at some point this season...he's good, but if he could bring us a quality arm in return...that would be more valuable to us.....but if it was an unfair deal....we'll hang onto Reggie, he's pretty solid...and he'll probably be in baseball for at least three more years...that mofo is ripped. wsox8 10
I don't think he is that bad.. He is actually a solid hitter in that royals lineup right now.
KowboyKoop 0
I don't think he is that bad.. He is actually a solid hitter in that royals lineup right now.No, he isn't bad at all, he's a good hitter, that's why hopefully he has a good season and come the trading deadline, some team will be willing to part with a good MLB ready arm or near ready good pitching prospect to attain him....Reggie is good in our lineup for this one year, but if we could get a good arm from him, that'd be MUCH more valuable for us long term. This is pretty much the entire reason we signed him....to give us a good half year or so and then attract a good arm throught the trade market.
kers2 0
You should post the link so we can show them who's boss. I feel like I know more about the Royals than these "fans" just from reading this thread the past 4 weeks.

I feel like I know more about the Royals than these "fans" just from reading this thread the past 4 weeks. It's just the kcroyals.com Message Board......and it's basically every single thread where they act like retards.....if Berroa has 4 hits in a game they say he's great and if he strikes out one time they hate him and we should trade him for some Double-A prospect....blah blah blah. Basically...they just don't have a clue what they are talking about, I probably won't even be posting there anymore.....they just don't understand baseball whatsoever...they think that because Reggie had a few big hits this year so far that we should sign him to a 4 or 5 year contract because "Julio Franco is playing at an old age, so Reggie can do it too" and other random sh*t..... timwakefield 69
Wow I've been reading some of it...I think I might post something there. Grudzielieanaik is certainly not elite.
mrdannyg 274
grudz is an excellent utility guy, and an average 2B. that's it.Bush is a great young pitcher. Had a bunch of starts for the Jays last year and he's ready to be someone's #4 guy. could definitely develop into a solid #2 or 3 guy lifetime.seems like a solid 14-win, 4 ERA guy

He's good, but if we could get an arm for him in a trade, we should do so.

KowboyKoop 0
Yeah, I think you know my opinion on this. But I think most fans are idiots anyway.I assume you'd be in favor of trading Grudz for a good arm at whatever point possible.....and yes, most of the fans on that particular board just don't have a clue. MDXS 0
Pretty funny stuff. Almost no one in the Grudz thread had anything near a valid point. One guy was decent, but the signal to noise ratio sucks.I'd personally add Mark Loretta to the list of second basemen better than Grudz....higher BA, OBP, SLG, OPS+, comparable fielder, etc... Solodell 0
as a Cards fan right now I wish we'd have resigned Sanders so I wouldn't have to watch the horror that is Juan Encarnacion (guy's batting about .200 with 1 RBI batting either 2nd or 5th the whole season). Grudzy was great at turning the double play, but he pulled the biggest disappearing act in the playoffs ever....along with everyone else in the Cards lineup besides Pujols and Molina. Both are probably trade bait for a contender.

Grudz is a pretty good second baseman....but nowhere near the best...he is replacable...especially at age 36 (he will be 36 in June..).And yeah, Loretta would probably go up there too....I just named ten I think, but I know I probably still missed a few.....and you could maybe even put Soriano on there too if he moves back there at some point.as a Cards fan right now I wish we'd have resigned Sanders so I wouldn't have to watch the horror that is Juan Encarnacion (guy's batting about .200 with 1 RBI batting either 2nd or 5th the whole season). Both are probably trade bait for a contender.Pretty much the entire reason we signed them was so hopefully we can trade them for decent arms/pitching prospects at some point this year or in the offseason....both could definitely be good pieces to add to a contender if they need a second basemen or a pretty good left fielder (Reggie plays right field for us...but is really more of a left fielder). Too bad noone on that board understands that...but it is the right thing to do.
KowboyKoop 0
I'm currently in an argument with these donks about who is better...Mark Teahen or Alex Gordon........WTF!?!?? Mark Teahen is apparently the greatest .240 batting, little power, little defensive range, and easy-error making third baseman of all time.......wow. What retards.

Mark Teahen is amazing. .240 is a fluke. He will obviously hit about .380-20-100 this year.P.S. Have you guys thought of getting Royce Clayton?

Have you guys thought of getting Royce Clayton? I'll assume that you are referring to future Hall of Famer Royce Clayton. In that case....we are going to package our top 8 prospects to trade for him....so then we can turn around and trade him to a contender later in the year in exchange for a Double-A pitching prospect.
