i think you are beat here. if no straight i can def see a 2pair. pot's not that big but you probably still call. when the 4 to a straight hits i probably c/c with that action

meh, sometimes i can fold the turn, other times i can''t. You need to fold the river though, our hand didn't improve with any possible hidden outs, and he clearly isn't afraid of an ace.

The response depends on what limits we're talking about. For any low limit game, though, I'd say that you played it fine. We're getting about 12 to 1 on the river, so we can't really fold. I'd play it the same and expect to be beat.

Thanks for the info guys, it was a low limit game, and UTG had :club::D .I just doubted that UTG would play with a six. I guess in retrospect it's pretty obvious I'm beat, but I just have a hard time laying down an overpair to the board when I'm not bet into or check-raised on the flop. I mean for him to hit the straight he'd have to call with a six UTG, then call on the flop with an inside straight draw. I figured it was way more likely he put me on ak or aq and had hit a pair on the flop. Obviously I was wrong.

He played J6 from first position?I'm assuming this was a micro-limit game.Anyways, I would have played the hand the same way and take the loss. I couldn't pin my opponent on a hand as weak as J6 when that opponent is playing from an early position.
