The only way I would play it differently is by folding that river. Despite great pot odds you aren't winning this pot ever.

C'mon...we're getting almost 30:1.

You think you are ahead 2 players here getting 1/30 times? I've never been ahead in a spot like this.

I've seen enough people overplay two pair or smaller sets that I think I have to make this call.

So both players stayed in during all this action with 2 pair? If both players didn't have you beat I'd be very suprised.

The only really interesting question in this hand concerns the call on the turn, which is not at all clear. You're getting 3:1 odds which is just about what you need if you're up against K10. The problem is that you don't have any overlay for the times you'll be against QQ or AA here, in which case you're dead in the water (it's also possible that some of your outs are poisoned, if one guy has Aces and Queens.) I think these possibilities may tip the scales in favour of a fold.

That's really my question honestly...can I just go ahead and fold the turn? I seem to be getting mixed opinions on that...which leads me to believe that it's not very important either way. I'm not extremely worried about QQ as I'm holding a Q. Part of what seemed to tip this back in favor of a call was that I have a few split outs (3 Ks) for when the river doesn't pair the board.

Do we check behind if it's checked to us?

Raise preflop @ MP3. This is a very good hand to raise for value in good position.Pot the flop.Since SB and BB were very short-stacked, everyone had the odds to chase if they had been calling your preflop raises and flop pot. Oh well....I will give that $4 away on the river as a chasing incentive bonus.

Do we check behind if it's checked to us?Maybe. That's a lot closer. I'd pot it most of the time, as someone slowplaying the straight on this board is almost impoosible at this limit, but if you pot it you're clearly calling all of your chips if it's raised.good luck.

You're quite right. It's mostly a matter of that I've never been very comfortable with raising pre-flop in PLO/8, but I'm hoping that will change with more reading and experience.

My general thought here was that the flop, turn, and river were fine, but you need to be raising this hand PF from the CO, oh, about..........100% of the time. Being in position is a huge advantage in PLO, and you should try to get more money in when you have this kind of a hand in this spot, and as Smash mentioned, it's really convenient when the button gets out of your way here which he will a large portion of the time. Also, I've been playing a lot of lower limit PLO lately at the site previously mentioned, (mainly 0.5/1), and I can't believe how soft the games are. Honestly, trying to make money at NLHE feels like banging your head against a brick wall by comparison.

That is the craziest thing I have ever read. His opponent be FOUR DOLLARS on the river into a $100+ pot.IMO it is an easy fold on the turn....you aren't getting odds to make your boat, and it is tremendously likely that somebody has a straight.

QFT. Even if we don't have odds to call at 30/1, we certainly do when we factor in the reverse implied odds for smashing our $1000 computer into the wall after we folded a $100+ winner for FOUR DOLLARS

Very good point. I believe that is called Reverse Implied Destruction.

Can you please explain why this is such an obvious fold...We have position on everyone, and bet out less then the pot after noone shows interest. This doesn't exactly show a lot of strength.I play mainly low limits, so I can see douchbags leading here with 2 pair quite often. I don't see how anyone can put us on such a powerful hand considering the previous action... I see the straight at best, and we're still getting 3:1 to call and fill up.

Seriously? Ok, let's assume that your read is right and we're against top two and the straight, and let's be really optimistic and assume neither player has a J or a 7 or a heart draw, and that there's only one K in their hands. That's about the best we can hope for aside from something crazily unlikely like this being top two and bottom set when we have third set. Sound fair?Let's say we have our hand and As Qd 4c 8c, Ts Kh 4s 8s. Fairly optimistic, no?We'd need to be getting 10 to 1 implied odds on the call, AND we're not closing the action on the call.See why it's an easy fold now?good luck.
