Entrepeneur 0
Friend called and asked me this...Didn't know..Knew the collective we would know. Help me out fcp'ers...$50 buy-in home game (bi-weekly)..Hero has half the buy-in, but blinds aren't horrible. He flops the nut straight with 2 to the flush on the board (he has none of that suit).4 players..He's third to act. First and Second check. As he's saying raise (and he's betting 80% of his stack to go above the odds for the flush making it a horrible call for anyone drawing to it), the dealer (who's in the hand)...flips over the turn not realizing Hero was in.It's the third spade...Hero mistakingly decides to leave his bet out there...2 people call. The dealer actually ending up winning with like a 10 high flush. (which he would never have stayed in with). Hero gets knocked out soon there after.Question:When dealer flips card over while bettor is saying raise, what is the proper ruling?I thought it was kill that card, burn another and flip over the "river" for the turn, and then burn and turn when you get to the river. What's the official ruling?Outside of taking his dealer friend out back and having a 'discussion' with him.Sorry it was so long..I don't get out much.E
LongLiveYorke 38
Reshuffle the mistakenly flipped over turn back into the deck and continue as usual. Make sure this happens the instant that the card is exposed so no one can "read" anyone else's reaction to the card.

Entrepeneur 0
That's what i was wondering.mistake card hits.Do you.burn one and then flip new turnorjust flip new turnIf you burn one, then the river will be the turn...seems right.Then..not sure about whether or not to burn before river.Would love to see if someone can tell me where to go for official rules...or if DN or Harry or someone is around (seriously doubt they'd read this..which is cool)..If there's a pro that can tell me...I'd appreciate it. Stallion714 0
In my experience...the action doesn't stop. His bet would be pushed back to him. Play would continue from there.

Play would continue from there. Not the case - that's no good for anyone since betting action was not completed. The early turned card does not play. Action continues for the bettor, and no card should be burned. The next card is then taken off the deck for the turn (this is the card that would have been the burn for the river). Action continues. The burned card is then shuffled back in to the deck, a card is burned, and then we see the river.

Once that card comes off, try to make a statement for action wasnt completed in a card room. Not gonna happen.Perhaps the dealer was wrong, and perhaps that player did not make an apparrently binding bet, but I can gaurantee that the cards wont be reshuffled. As the dealer, push the chips back and reopen the betting after showing the turn.
