yeah both are definitly better than calling down.im usually folding to a c/r here. my game is shat right now.

YOu can 3bet the flop, bet/fold the turn and take a free showdown too.Fold to a cap, probably. It costs you much less when you're behind than when you call and raise the turn, and the information is pretty much as reliable.

The idea is that it's impossible for them to play back at you with something that you have beat. Well, not impossible. But EXTREMELY improbable. So you dont fold winners, get value out of semi bluffs (or folds from bluffs with overcards), free showdowns against better hands often (so you put in just as many bets against better hands) - and i guess occasionally you get better hands to fold.When you're 3bet, you know you're drawing to 2 cards or less. The only downside is that when you are beat and get 3bet, you lose the opportunity to draw to your 2 cards.

But we are never drawing profitably to 2 outs anyways, for the most part, when we are behind.

Putting in two bets and drawing to 2 cards better than putting in 2 bets and having to fold to a third.(with respect to the advantages of calling down versus raise/folding)
