Ranking Of Low Hands

This is something I've struggled with for a long time in trying to understand, and I apologize for posting this if it has been addressed before. As a NLHE donkey, I don't really know much about the ranking of Low hands. I know that A2345 is the best low hand you can have. But when it's Stud 8 or Omaha 8, I'm not sure I understand where A 2 4 5 6 8 beats A 3 4 5 7. I'm really confused and hopefully someone can clear up my understanding of this important part of playing Hi-Lo

Lowest high card is the key, it gets marginally more confusing when the high cards are the same.A 2 3 4 8 gets beat by 2 3 4 5 7A 2 3 5 8 gets beat by A 2 3 4 8Monty

It's just the same as determing whose flush is better. On a board of As Ks 9s 8s 2sIf one person shows 5s 6s....that person beats the person holding Ac 4sAs Ks 9s 8s 6s beats As Ks 9s 8s 4sIn Hi/Lo....8,7,4,3,2 beats 8,7,5,3,2.

Lowest HIGH card, I get it...What always confused me was the fact when someone held an ace in the hand but had an 8 was beaten by someone who held a 2 and a 7...thanks...obviously now I'mr eady to turn pro and make millions at stud 8

TP/MM@S8Roger that. When you are looking at your hand in stud8, be sure to check your low outs showing and stuff like that. If you are holding [2c4c]5c and you look around and see all four aces and a 3 as everone else's door cards, that's a lot different than if you are holding the same hand and it's all paint up on the table.Monty
