Gambling Times is a good gambling magazine, and due to the recent rush in poker they've been concentrating on that lately.Casino Wire is an E-Zine you can find on CasinoWire.comAn easy one Poker Magazine, Haven't head much about it as of yet... have a nice layout on the website though (not nearly as nice as this one ofcourse!)All-In Magazine is the second magazine I'd recommend after CardPlayer ofcourse. Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Phil Gordon all write for this magazine, Phil Gordon has always been a good writer, and i'm sure Fergusons articles are more mathmatical which is what most of us lack in, it can sometimes be the biggest difference in your play.Poker Runs America, dont know much, published 8 times a yearPoker -- Easy enough name for the magazine, Published only 3 times a year, going to guess they're rather large issues with a lot of good contentThere are PLETNY of free E-Zines that you can read as well if you look they aren't too hard to find.

Like quoting yourself often Jayson? ;)I think Jayson covered most of the big items from the poker magazine world. I just recently ordered all-in magazine just for kicks and additional reading material. Not sure of it's quality yet.I definitely have to say that Cardplayer is definitely the best quality magazine out there both in terms of the authors and content and the actual quality of the print/pages itself.

Yes the print/page quality of CardPlayer was just upgraded, if some of the people who've been recieving it lately didn't notice lol. The reason for that I think was All-In actually, because they have that quality on theres, so I think Card Player sees All-In as a big competitor which is good for us readers.

avsfan,Thanks so much for your post. Earlier Daniel had mentioned that he and Layne Flack would be on the cover of this magazine. I could not find it anywhere on the web. Now, I have a subscription because of your link! I also read the beginning of the feature article on Daniel and Layne and I can not wait until I get the magazine so I can read the whole thing! :D I am very excited!

Thanks for the replies, all.I write for 5th St., so I run the risk of looking like a spammer here. Don't take it that way, as I'm being 100% honest. I write for several mags, so I really don't have one to trump over another. 5th street really has a lot of promise. All glossy pages, wonderful lay-outs. The pics are the best I've seen in a poker mag. It is thin for the 1st issue, needs more material... but shows real promise.I remember the days of Daniel on LAP.com, avsfan. I sldo remember razzing you about my Flyers, too! -John Carlisle

Some more advice for you Avs,Tread lighlty as you go back into the B & M's. You may have changed yourself and your outlook on the game since you were there before. "You" may now be a slightly differnt "you." Ease into it and hit your comfort zone. It'll come to you, if you give it time.Use your chip marker as a focusing agent. When you place it on top of your holds, clear your mind and focus directly on the task at hand. Did you ever see those basketball pros doing those little rituals before the foul shot -- talking to themselves, a empty-handed practice shot, wtc? That is the same concept. Much more important in poker, though, as poker is intellectual and emotional in nature, not atheletic.

I subscribed to Bluff too and on the same day joined the Fantasy Poker Challenge. Since my #1 poker idol got first (and some other picks came through), I am near the top of the points leaderboard. Check it out - it could be your ticket to play heads up against Dan in the WSOP 2005 finals :-)

Sounds like you editors should give some of Daniels fans a free issue :)1 Free from each of you to a few active members of the forums could get you some positive and negative opinions. Both which will help:)Take Care,Tyler
