Click on the movie poster and go to the site... the director has a long statement about the movie, which includes the approval of all the families involved.

i understand that the families would have had to approve it.. i still don't think it's right though. the bottom line is that someone made a feature film about this to make money. although I didn't read it on the site, i know i'll hear, "this movie was made to let the world know ..." no. It was made to line pockets and stir up more controversy.i don't like it.

Although this may happen, I disagree that it's the only reason for it. Haven't you ever wanted to make a movie about this or that in your life that you just KNOW would be awesome? Sometimes you just want your story to get out there, because you really care about it. Will some fat cats in Hollywood only care about the money... sure! But that doesn't mean the movie won't be powerful. Mind you, I hated how Paul Greengrass directed Bourne Supremacy, but he might just be out to make a good movie. Let's hope he uses less shakey cam. I almost threw up in the Bourne Supremacy.

they could have at least waited 80 years to make it like they did for Titanic
Please, they're already making a movie about the autistic high school basketball kid. I could take a shit on the street tomorrow and there'd be a multimillion dollar production next summer.

What is it that Alan Alda's slimy TV producer character says in Crimes and Misdemeanors? "Tragedy plus time = comedy." This movie might be acceptable two generations removed, but not now. p.s. flight 93 was downed by US fighter pilots.

What's the big deal? It's not like they're glorifying the terrorists. Bottom line: it's a compelling story. I'm so fucking sick and tired of everybody getting their panites in a bundle over every god damned thing that might be even the slightest bit offensive to anybody. I probably won't go see it because it doesn't look like it's that well made, but I won't boycott it or anything ridiculous like that. What sort of pious asshole has any right whatsoever to tell someone that they shouldn't tell this story. Get off your high horse, and, more importantly, pull your head out of it's ass.

oh you're a troublemaker. That's what you are!
Lol, anyone who investigates the crash even a little will be instantly convinced this is true.

I personally think it is in poor taste to capitalize on this tragedy. Am I up-in-arms about? Nah--i just won't go see it. They have the right to make this movie--and i have the right to make sure not one cent of mine goes to anyone involved with it.Not to mention it'll be pure fiction since i believe it was shot down.

Give me a break. That's what America is all about. If there is money to be made off of any situation, somebody is going to do it. Was it in poor taste to increase the production of American flags immediately after 9/11? I'm not telling you to go see it, but I am telling you not to bitch about it.

I'm not bitching about it--i just think it is in poor taste. If you paid attention to my entire post, you would have noticed that i fully acknolwedge people are going to do it and have the right to do it--as i have the right to not see it, which right i will fully exercise. Frankly i could care less. I'm not going to protest it, but if someone is discussing whether it shoudl be done---i'd say that i wouldn't do it, think doing it is in poor taste, and move on.But capitalizing on a tragedy like 9/11 is not what America is all about. If that were the case, t'woudl be pretty sad.
