IMO:AEnima>Lateralus>Undertow>OpiateI don't compare APC albums with Tool albums, soThirteenth Step = Mer de Noms >>>>>> eMOTIVE.

see, if lateralus was released as an EP, with only the actual music/lead in tracks on it... it'd be about that order.i don't like the fact that 60% of the album is nonsense. i think that was them trying to get a little too creative and not quite getting it right... they nailed it with 10k days though.. i feel like the more ambient songs on 10k are what lateralus was supposed to be, but fell short.and i'll always have a soft spot for undertow because it was the first tool album i ever heard, even though its only 9 (real) tracks, theyre all good, and the first 7 are pretty much flawless

Yeah, Lateralus was my first Tool album. I just pretty much lose my shit everytime I listen to it, especially in an 'altered' state.

i also kinda don't like the way the album is set up.. the song lateralus is the perfect song to end the album on.. but instead they do that stupid area 51 thing, which also kinda seemed like a bit of a last minute add-on, in the vein of "disgustipated" from undertow

Nirvana was nowhere near as good as everyone seems to think. They were an average garage band in the right place and time.

My personal favorite from anything Maynard James Keenan is definitely Thirteenth Step. The album as a whole is so complete. But I suppose that can be said of any Tool cd as well. Personal preference. My favorite song being The Package. I think it's the vocals that do it for me on that particualar song. Thirteenth Step>Lateralus>Aenima>Undertow>Opiate>Mer De Noms>EmotiveEdit: So excited for 10,000 days

I love both APC and Tool, having said that I liked Emotive. I don't see why everyone trashes on it.

Truer words have never been spoken. The biggest downside to living in Seattle is hearing people cream themselves over Kurt Cobain all the time.

"Project: Runway" and "Top Chef" are the best reality shows on TV.
The path
of the righteous man is beset on
all sides by the inequities of the
selfish and the tyranny of evil
men. Blessed is he who, in the
name of charity and good will,
shepherds the weak through the
valley of darkness, for he is truly
his brother's keeper and the finder
of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those
who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Maybe that's just in Issaquah. I lived in Seattle for 6 years, and honestly, can't remember a single person who even mentioned Kurt Cobain.
