Help Me Fix My Movie Queue

***Updated 4/18***I use Blockbuster Online to rent DVDs. Still in my first couple of months, so I'm pretty gung-ho. I'll give you my list and you can add a few, and if you like, steer me away from some, or bump some up the list. I'm a big fan of black comedies, drama, and action. I tend to stay away from Horror, westerns, animations, and "chick" flicks. If it catches on, maybe I can do a weekly vote where you pick a movie for me to watch. Let's see how it goes. Weird is good. For some reason I picture Huckabees in the same vein as The Royal Tennenbaums, which I enjoyed.You're right about Saw. I moved both down. I put those on when I first started the queue, and they were around 30. I'm really in no rush to see it, just caught up in the hype. They're back down to 25. Life of Brian is staying. I'm not a big Monty Python fan, but it's a must see. I can wait a month or so. One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest goes up. I'm going to try to make sure at least one out of 7 are classics(20 years +). Thanks for the input.

Supersize me has to stay, if for no other reason than keeping me away from McDonald's. If you have any good documentary suggestions, I'd like to hear.Clueless about Magnolia and Donnie Darko. I'm excited and ready to be suprised.Cape Fear I haven't seen in a long time, but DeNiro's performance is what I remember. That and something about Juliette Lewis' feet, lol. Huckabees is great. If you liked Tenenbaums, you'll definitely like it. Magnolia is one of the best films of the 90s. PT Anderson is the best young director around, imo. So yeah, I'd move those two up to the top of the list. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was overlooked, but it is an excellent film--one of the best directorial debuts in recent years. Mystic River is solid, Capote is excellent. And Harold and Kumar should be moved up as well. The Man Show is #2? Really?

Good documentaries I've seen recently are Capturing the Friedmans, Touching the Void, and this documentary about an english guy who apparently lost his memory but has been called a fraud subsequently. Good film, even if it's bull.

History of Violence seems to be 50/50, so I'll keep it there. I'll be moving Family Guy down so it's really 5 spots higher. Shock for a week sounds good, not like your typical running fall, down, put your hands up to deflect the ax slasher film. I'll put it after a comedy around the middle. I own RDs, A History X, and Pulp Fiction. All must haves. Supersize Me came today. The 24 hour McDonald's here is awful, so I'll have to hold out until tomorrow if I get symptoms.

The order is really just how I added them as I came across them. Yes, the Man Show Boy is a guilty pleasure. It came today, and really isn't as good when you put them all together. It's all only 30 minutes of material. The rest is household tips with adult film stars, which is just worthless. Glad the rest of the picks are looking good. If you had to pick one of the above which would you put first?

I guess I missed them in the news, but I don't know anything about the Friedmans. This is the synopsis of the movie...Full Synopsis Andrew Jarecki's award-winning documentary Capturing the Friedmans comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of the film .The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. The superb supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Jarecki and editor Richard Hankin. They discuss the complicated process of putting the film together, including how the focus of the film shifted radically after learning about David Friedman's family. What really makes this film quite worthwhile are the over two-hours of addition video and audio recordings taken by the family, and footage of the heated discussion that took place after the film's initial screening at the TriBeca film festival. The extras also provide information on how the people profiled in the film are dealing with their lives today. I put Sci-Fi with horror, the more unbelievable, the less it interests me. I'm going to stick with the route I'm on for now, but thanks for the suggestion. I don't know if Kubrick doing sci-fi woudl make it more interesting, or just turn me off it in 15 mintues.

I don't know much about the movie, so I don't know what your WTF?!?!?! is for. It's doesn't seem like your typical romantic comedy though. I like some romance, I just like it a little twisted(True Romance, Grosse Pointe Blank are 2 of my all time favorites). I'm surprised no one has called me out for My Date with Drew. I have had a thing for her for 15 years, and want to justify my adolescent pinings for her by proving how cool and down to earth she really is.

Big Black Booty 4 Blockbuster has no porn Life as a House Certainly not my usual fare, but that's what I'd like to do, expand a bit. On the list.The United States of Leland Great looking cast, even with Chris Klein stretching it as a "sensitive boyfriend" Nice one. The Station Agent Something else I wouldn't have found, but looks worthwhile.Say Anything End up watching that every once in a while when it hits TV. I'm a big Cusack fan, and it's of course one of his best. Wild Things 3 I own the disc with the original and 2 on it. I liked the original. Like a Usual Suspects dumbed down with two bad girls, both very hot in their own way. I didn't like 2. Does three have enough softcore in it to at least make it spankable if the story doesn't hold me?Another good thing about this is the suggestions it gives if you are interested in any particular movie. It's never-ending Blockbuster is going to lose money on me.

Also has an amazing soundtrack.2) Grizzly Man... amazing look into a mad man's mind. Also a very good soundtrack.3) Spellbound... very cool look into the 1999 National Spelling Bee4) Touching the Void... I'm sure you know that this is about mountain climbing.5) Seven Up... Take 14 seven year olds in England, film them in a few interesting situations, and follow those same kids as they grow up. Every seven years.6) 20 Dates... Hilarious.7) Just, Melvin: Just Evil... "One of the best documentaries I have ever seen." -- Roger Ebert8) Hoop Dreams... If one of these guys wouldve actually made it to the NBA it wouldve been AWESOME!!
