I don't know if anyone has had the pleasure of dealing with Party Poker's customer service, but they definetly have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. They recently introduced a new steps sit n go format that works like a satellite tournament...the top four advance to the next level, etc, etc.I had won a seat into the 3rd level which is a 200 + 15 buy in tournament. When I tried to register, their software was malfunctioning and didn't seem to accept my registration when I clicked it. Also, the "unregister" button never became highlited so I assumed it wasn't letting me register for the table. I closed the lobby and proceeded to play other ring games on the site. The next morning I decided to try to register for the tournament again and discovered I had lost my freeroll. That's when the circus began. I called PP and told them my situation and was first told that it was because I didn't have enough patience and I should have waited because it can take up to 2 minutes for your registration to be accepted. After telling them and finally having them look at the game log and see that I was in the lobby for more than 10 minutes without my name appearing in the list, they informed me that it was still my fault because I didn't call them immediately.I called the next day and asked to speak to a supervisor. Again he seen the exact same thing and told me that the tournament placed me at my seat and placed my blinds and folded my cards. He told me that he would look into it further and call me back by the end of the next day. 2 Days later, nothing so I call them back and they keep no record of previous phone calls! I re-explain the situation to another supervisor who tells me that even though she sees that this took place, they are unwilling to give me my freeroll back since I actually did hit the "registration" button! Are these people morons??! Then she offers me a 20% bonus up to $50 on my next deposit and can't understand why that doesn't satisfy me. So her only other offer would be to place $6 into my account so that I could play a free sit 'n go! Needless to say, I withdrew my money and will now stick to Ultimate Bet.

I imagine they'll be out of buisness by the end of the week without your patronage.

Nice sarcasm. It's not just my patronage that matters and if you understood business you would know that. There are many sites competing for business with them and poor customer service has the ability to lead to a companies downfall. It will take much longer than a week but if they continue to provide poor service and other sites continually improve their customer base then you are correct, they will eventually fade away

My experiences with PP are quite the opposite. I've emailed them three times, twice asking questions, once with an actual problem, and I received helpful responses within two hours each time. The problem I had was when I was playing a single-table sit & go tournament when the game got cancelled due to technical difficulties. The game said we would get our money refunded but after an hour went by and I still didn't have my money, I sent them an email. I got a reply about an hour later apologizing for the inconvenience, and that my account had been refunded my buy-in and entry fee, plus my share of the money from the people knocked out of the game before it broke.

Why didnt the tournament table pop up like they do at all sites? It sounds like to me that you registered and then must have logged out not knowing you were registed. Wasnt there a way to tell that they took your buyin for it??Personally I think it just sucks all the way around. I think you do share some of the blame but if PP was so great they would make it right for you. They pretty much are telling you tough luck which does not surprise me. I've never played at party but from I can tell it doesnt seem like they care about their players as much as some other places. then again when you are the largest maybe they have a formula for resolving issues. If the dollar amount is over so much they might just say well we can lose this guy.

The thing is, I didn't leave the site. I was still playing games on their site when the tournament took place and it never took me to the table. Now I know this is a problem in their tournaments as it happens to a lot of people and they complain about it. At the beginning of most tournaments on PP there are people not at their seat and they come later and complain that they were never placed at their seat. At least that's the trend I've noticed. So it doesn't surprise me that I wasn't taken to my seat on PP but that coupled with the fact that their registration was malfunctioning just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that they weren't willing to fix the situation. Especially since their logs prove my point and they will admit that.
