Aright, me and my buddies play Holdem tournament NL. However, we don't use chip value, and just play as each chip is worth 1. We start out with 70 chips each and such, and blah blah. We normally have about 7-8 people when we play, 5 dollar buy-ins.My 'stupid' question is: Will this affect me at all when I play chip value. What I mean by that is will it be positive/negative when playing with chip value? I know it will make a bit more difficult to bet right, since I am not doing it under constant practice. However, I don't run the tournament, so I have no say in how the chips are considered. Should I stop playing 1 per chip, or will it not matter?

No matter how much you put into a pot for bluffing, you can't beat a good hand.

ya thats how me and my buddies started out as well. I mean it should be the same idea and everything but it is an adjustment going to different chip values. I've never seen a tourney that is run like that so I don't think I'd get too used to that structure...but poker is poker.
