KingAustin 0
I play at pokerroom and i'm in a $1-2 NL game, and I have pocket J. The flop is 89T. I bet, get re-raised, I re-raise all in he calls with Q8. He hits a Q on the river and I think to myself, wow, this guy is horrible. I see way better players at the .25-.50 limit games. So I get all pissed off and told myself "if you lose this money to a bad beat, you're going to the 5-10 NL games just to have fun". So, I do exactly that. I ended up being there for about 15 min. I went in for the min. ($50) and came out with around $130. The reason, these people are horrible at poker. I was playing on tilt and they were calling with NOTHING! This is very strange, 5-10NL players worse than .25-.50 limit players. These ppl must not like money or something.
RonBurgundy 0
I completely agree. I play there as well, and it seems like you can play like garbage and come out on top.
Guest
when i first started playing poker online, poker room was my first site. i was one of the bad players who would call with AK, raise with A4 suited and generally be tight passive as well as loose passive...
theresa113 0
Isn't Poker Room the home of the Sik? You know, 3 9 off suit? Don't they have lots of followers thinking that this is some magical hand?

Rhizomorph 0
I was playing $2/$4 NL on Pokerroom the other day and some moron made the dumbest/luckeist move I've ever seen.7 people at the table - I'm in the BB with $127.Dumbass to my left limps in (he has $40)... then 1 more limper, then the button raises to $19 and is all in. Since I have AK, I call him.So does the guy to my left who limped in.Flop: 7 K 2 (rainbow). So I hit my K, and raise the other guy $25 to put him all in. He Calls! (Hmm, he must have a king too) So now 2 guys are all in.Turn is another 2.... no help to anyone.River is a 9... again prolly no help to anyone. So lets see everyone's cards...Button turns over JJ - I got him beat.Dumbass to my left turns over 4h2h!!!... 4... 2 .... and hit a set.1) Who the f*ck plays 4,2 for $19?2) Why call my all in with a K on board and all you have is a pair of 2's (no other draw).Sure enough, the idiotic play took down the pot. Don't they have lots of followers thinking that this is some magical hand?I think that's in play money. I know what you're talking about though. I haven't seen anyone win with it though.I saw a lot of people playing the Big Sik in real money games over there. Used to read the forums associated with Pokerroom, and they regularly boast about sik wins. Somebody even came up with the bright idea to register "big sik" in an online urban dictionary. Lots of bad, silly plays with that hand.Yeah, I haven't played there much since I've been serious about improving my game. (before I even had a clue how bad of a hand it is.) Maybe it's time to take another look at that site.
custom36 5
*sigh* When I played there, I was a fish. Now, I'm so much better and I can't get to my bank to setup my Neteller account. I can't wait to transfer money back to PokerRoom.
jmussina 0
I've always played there and its pretty good. I like their promos and the players aren't really that good. Their support leaves something to be desired, especially by email, however if you call them its usually taken care of. I only play on the smallest NL tables they have there .25-.5 and its pretty fishy. However sometimes you find youself at a table with 9 good players and 1 fish. Just hope that you are one of the 9.
