.5/1 Limit HE online - passive/loose game - on the button - you're dealt A
4
. One limper, you call, SB calls, BB raises, rest call. Flop comes 3
Q
K
; all three check to you, you bet, all three call. Turn is 4
. All check to you, you bet, two callers. River is J
; two check to you again. Does your style allow you to make that final bluffing bet to try to take the pot down, giving that a lot of draws could've hit with that board, or do you check through to minimize losses? By the way, there's $9.75 in the pot. When this came up when I was playing today, I made that last bet and both folded, which I was a bit surprised by. Second pair, lower pp, or another flush draw are probably what they had. I think, though, that this bet would win the pot more than 1 in 9 times, so I'd make it. Any thoughts on it?

Take the free cards here... If they're checking to you, that tells me they are on draws as well. odds are when you fill up they might hit there pair or fill up to a lower flush. Betting For value is incorrect with that amount of money in the pot, your not going to "buy the pot" off of 4 people.

I think, though, that this bet would win the pot more than 1 in 9 times, so I'd make it.Against two callers this far I seriously doubt if your fold equity is even that high.I think you very likely folded tow hands you're beating, possibly two other flush draws.

Wily- But in my situation on the river, after not checking the turn, should I have gone for the bet on the river?Status quo says No.

the purpose of the flop bet is to buy you a free card on the turn where its more expensive. If you miss. you get a free river .

But in my situation on the river, after not checking the turn, should I have gone for the bet on the river? No, because most of the time you win the hand by checking if you're going to win the hand. What are you folding here that beats you?
