$1 BB NL Hold 'Em on FCPMe: $127.50Donkey: $119.50I've been at this table for a while and I've observed this guy to be a total DONKEY. I've got position on the Donkey.I'm around back w/ 7 :club: 8 :) and decide to limp into a multi-way pot. 6 of us take the flop. ($6 in pot)Flop: 5 :) 7 :D 8 :D I had flopped top 2 pair on a kinda scary board given all the limpers, but I wanted to get involved in a pot w/ the Donkey.3 checks then Donkey bets $5, I raise to $12, all fold to Donkey who calls. ($30 in pot).Turn: 10 :) OK, so this wasn't a great card for me. Now there were a few combinations that have made a straight on me, but I just wasn't willing to give Donkey credit for them.Donkey bets $12 and I raise to $35. I still thought I was ahead and I thought it would be weak to just call, so I raised. Donkey calls. ($100 in pot).River: my gin card - 8 :D Donkey bets $20 into a $100 pot. I raised all-in for another $60 bucks, he calls.Final pot $241.Any thoughts on how I played the hand???I'll give bonus points to anyone who can call Donkey's cards.

i dont think you gave the donkey enough credit,
The Donkey had 9 :club: 4 :D. He flopped a straight draw and improved to a flush draw on the turn. The most amazing part of the hand is he called my re-raise on the end (It was about $50 for him to call) with 9-high. That's the part I just don't understand. Even if I was bluffing he couldn't beat anything - he had 9-high with 2 busted draws.

Donk had 6's.Also, anyone else think FCP No-limit table are very passive/loose preflop, and loose/aggressive post-flop.
I think that FCP NL tables aren't where the money's at; if you're going to try to make money, play the limit games and tourneys. I love FCP but I play Omaha 8 and tourneys almost exclusively there. For NL: Party, Pokerstars, Paradise. Actually, I think any site starting with a P is pretty soft.

I typically play LHE. Lately I've been playing 3/6. To be honest I hadn't played in any NLHE Ring Games in months, and I was just taking a break.

The short-handed 5/10 limit games actually seem to have more solid players than I'm used to.As for the NL games, they're tighter than I'm used to.

wow, nine high... :D i've seen a few of these calls before where they feel "committed" and "i've come this far, midaswell pay him off" although i am leaning towards a misclick [a frequent occurence]. yesterday I saw someone call another guy down with a board of 7-8-9-K-A [no flushes possible] with 46 [heavy preflop $20 each, heavy flop $70 each, not so heavy turns $40 each then with $65 left in front of him 46 makes a crying call on the river......... :icon_eek: the funny thing was he made the right call, they chopped [other guy had 6-3] :club::D
