Fold in BB?btw, I did bet the pot on the turn and took it down.
Yes, fold in BB. Even with the great pot odds, you're way behind most hands and have bad position post flop.Post flop play was good. What was your plan if you made the flush on the river?

If limit, most likely lead flop but definitely be betting on the turn. I wouldn't have played it in the BB for a raise. I know implied odds yadda yadda but I'd probably want AT LEAST another caller in there before I'd be playing it. If I knew the original limpers were going to call than I'd be more apt to play.If you're playing those cards, I lean to betting flop as that's about the only flop I would be hoping for, flush draw. Enough people in to make it worth your while if you hit and IF all folded, probably all the better as you wouldn't want to run into a higher flush. And that's the flip side to playing your 96s. If you normally have this many seeing the flop, you're going to run into not having the nuts when your flush hits too many times to think you have good implied odds to play the hand.I don't think implied odds to much at all unless I'm drawing to a very sneaky hand or the nuts.

You're wrong.Pf call is good. Huge odds out of the BB with a suited hand that has a tiny bit of connectness and is unlikley to be dominated.Implied odds and all that ****.Edited rest of post because I realize this is NL. Pf is still a call.

Hard to read that history, swahnroger. The preflop call is fine, getting a likely 9-1. Laugh at the min-raise. Bet flop, bet turn. Post in the NL forum. Convert first.

I'd be hoping for a straight. Or 2 pair. or trips....as long as you don't get stuck paying someone off with middle or a weak top pair. if everyone folded the flop, that probably means nobody had a higher flush draw....And that's the flip side to playing your 96s. If you normally have this many seeing the flop, you're going to run into not having the nuts when your flush hits too many times to think you have good implied odds to play the hand.this statement is rediculous. Yes, sometimes you won't have the best flush. But most of the time, you will. just because 1 in every 50 times or something your flush is no good is absolutely no reason not to play this hand.
