As of today I am boycotting tilt. For a while it was just a bad show with bad acting and bad writing. However after the past few episodes it became apparant thats its about more than that. This show is anti poker. Tilt portrays poker and poker players in the most negitive possible way imagineable. Tilt embarrases me as a poker player. While I have heard that Men the Master has had horses in tournaments with him I just cant see it being possible that someone could have 30 horses in a tournament with them as it was portrayed on tilt. This show is telling anyone thinking of playing in the WSOP that poker and the WSOP is about cheating and violence.I am also suprised that the pro's who talk about doing whats best for the game of poker and doing things to promote its growth have not publicly denounced this show. There is alot about the lifestyle of a poker player that is negitive, alot of them lead broke and degenerate lives but Tilt is not "the reality of the high stakes poker world". Its a LIE about the high stakes poker world. While I respect the fact that we all share different opinions, I personally will not support it nor do I have much respect for anyone that does because its anti poker, and I am pro poker.I love poker and I hate anyone that tries to do anything negitive to it. I think each person needs to decide if they are pro poker or anti poker.Tilt is certaintly anti poker. I am also sad to see people like Eric Seidel on the show. I wonder if he read the scripts to all the shows before agreeing to appear. Something tells me he didnt because I cant imagine that he would want to be associated with a show like this. thats all i have to say, for today on I am anti tilt and pro poker.
tilt is the anti christ of poker

Suggestive thinking, causing your perspective to change
And when I need to free my mind
I can find, satisfaction in a bag of weed
Everything I need, leave it to the trees
It can make me feel better, and every day I wake
Niggas rollin' up blunts, and mo blunts, and mo blunts
And I keep a case of Swisher Sweets in the trunk
So when I'm rollin', smokin', chokin', just floatin

I work in the TV industry and it's pretty much universally agreed that Tilt sucks balls. The characters are smug and totally unlikeable. You almost never see them lose a pot. And what's the deal with that "next case" line? I'm supposed to root for this guy?

I think Tilt is analogous to that other ESPN show Playmakers (about football).I liked both, though Tilt had more annoying things. What I think people should realize is that all TV shows are not reality. All my lawyer/teacher/doctor friends cannot watch Law & Order/Boston Public/ER. It comes as no surprise to me that some/many poker players don't like Tilt.Though actually a lot of doctors I know like Scrubs (a comedy).

I actually really enjoy watching Tilt, simply because it's about poker. I would have thought that most poker players view the show the same way. However, I can imagine that most non-poker-players don't enjoy the show, since, when all's said and done, the quality of acting and the story really aren't that great.
