I felt the need to bet out in case my pair of 9s was good, when MP1 min-raises me I feel like he has a queen at least for sure. I am also positive I do not have any fold equity if I move all-in at this point. He would have to call 700 more into a pot of 1680, and I also know this guy to be loose. My question is whether I should have jammed or not. I know I'm 50/50 against most hands that contain just a pair of queens at the moment, unless he has QJ, then I'm a little underdog. I know I'm going with this hand, but my question is, should I have just called his min-raise instead? If I call his min-raise, and then check the turn, even if he puts me all-in I'd still be calling, it'd be effectively the same as jamming since jamming has 0 fold equity. The difference is that he could possibly get scared and check behind on the turn, which would save me my tournament life if I don't improve.

You have indicated that you thought there was no chance of him folding to your push, so I am curious as to why you did it. It doesn't make sense to me they way you have described it. You last paragraph makes much more sense to me, so I think you have answered your own question. Am I mis-understanding something?

Personally, I would have backed off after he raised you continuation bet. Unless you have him pegged as AG, it tells me he has a Q and your 9 is no good. You really want to put in all your chips with middle pair, even if he is bluffing? Too much bad stuff can happen, imo, but that's just me.

Mercury did you miss that he also had a flush draw? If you think that the chance of him checking the turn is greating than him folding the flop (which apparently you do) then I think cold calling his raise is the best play.

The blinds are small enough to call and see if you hit the flush, youve still got almost 10 bbs. However, you may lose your market if another diamond hits and doubling up may be worth the risk since your still a baby stack so far from the money if you dont make any more $$. You are getting just about the right odds for the push also. I would probably push also.
