i suppose SB could have AQ spades, but looks like a ragged two pair. Call... and then swear about being rivered for the next 20 seconds if you are beat.

ya I was thinking that, but really I think that board is safe enough to keep him around, he's drawing to at max 4 pure outs to beat me I'd think? Not saying you're wrong, but I think there's an argument that on that board it's+EV to let him see the river, because 85%+ it's not going to improve him to the point where he's ahead, he's probably drawing 4 to the straight, or 2 to the higher set there.ten hands later and I feel all warm and fuzzy again:Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.25 BB (6 handed) converterBB ($14.50)UTG ($9.25)MP ($30.85)CO ($9.90)Hero ($14.70)SB ($39.70)Preflop: Hero is Button with 4s, 7s. 3 folds, Hero calls $0.25, SB raises to $1, BB calls $0.75, Hero calls $0.75.Flop: ($3) 5h, 4h, 8s (3 players)SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1, SB calls $1, BB folds.Turn: ($5) 4c (2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $3.75, SB calls $3.75.River: ($12.50) 4d (2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $8.95 (All-In), SB calls $8.95.Final Pot: $30.40(I had him on AK/AQ/AJ and knew if I hit anything I could get paid - hence the pf call btw)

I don't know. I don't like the way it was played on the flop or the turn. Since it's heads up already, I think you should raise. Min raise on the turn is useless. You've priced him in at that point if he has AQ, trying to draw for an A or a J. Should've raised to at least $10.There is a chance that villan thinks you're weak since you cold call the flop and min-raised the turn. If I had played it, I would've raised the flop to $3, and probably jam the turn if he leads out or if he checks, I'd bet pot and try to take it down there.I feel flat calling preflop was okay since you were out of position.
