I beat him into the pot. This is more likely to be a worse ace than a set or AJ. Your smooth call preflop makes him think he's good.

If the guy has A-rag, why would he call the flop raise? I'm sensing he paired his kicker if he has A-rag or his A-rag is sooted Hearts or he's got a set of J's. But his 2x pre-flop raise seems to say he's got a decent middle pair and is hoping for good flop texture. I'm guessing pocket J's.

i like the change-up pre-flop but unfortunately it makes your decisions on the later streets a lot more difficult.i think your probably facing AJ or JJ here. the way he played the hand makes me think he's got something pretty strong.pot is laying you about 1.55-1.if you're behind AJ you have 3 outs. if he's got JJ you're drawing dead.i'd lean towards folding this. you still have plenty of chips to do battle with.

Basic principal of poker: When you sandbag and someone bets into you but probably wouldnt have if you had played it straight, you should continue on with the hand unless youve got a solid reason to believe you are actually behind.Villain can have any A, and J, two hearts...a ton of hands you are ahead of compared to what you are behind to. Call. If you lose youve still got a good stack to fight back from, especially compared to the blinds.

You set the trap the villian fell in. Yeah, you could have trapped yourself, but heads up I think you are still good. You have a chance to end this here, and are ok if you are wrong. Really, only JJ is a real disaster, and the odds of that are tiny. Any other hand you are ahead of or have outs.
