Jordan 1
I have $110 on the table and have been multi-tabling so my reads aren't great.BB : $150EP: $25HERO: $110 5s4sep limps, one other limper, I limp at CO.sb compete, hero check.FLOP: 6s 8s 7xbb checks, ep bets $5, folds to me, I raise to $15, bb pushes for $150 total...ep calls... I ....- Jordan
DrawingDeadInDM 0
You fold.2-1 with the sucker end of the straight's kinda brutal.Edit; I didn't realize that we held the flush draw, there. My mistake. I'm probably calling this, but, it's with the understanding that I need to dodge a lot of cards to get there. Or that I'm sharing outs with a bigger flush draw. If I think my straight, in of itself is good, I'm probably calling. If I think my straight might be good, but I'm certain that my flush draw is live, I'm probably calling. It's pretty read-based in all reality, so, that doesn't really help much. Just assess the hand ranges and figure out how you stack up. The good news is that you're probably sharing outs with one of them--and hopefully the other one's just got an overpair. A set wouldn't surprise me, top two wouldn't surprise me, bigger straight, two overs and a flush draw. It's all relative my man. Flip a coin, really, like Cobalt said. CobaltBlue 662
We're not going to worry too much about EP since the bulk of the money involves the BB. If we give the BB a wide range that includes made hands (two pair, straights, and sets) as well as "good" draws, we're 63% against him alone. Here's the range:TT-66,As9s,As7s,Ks9s,Ks7s,T9s,98s,9s7s,95s,87s,76s,54s,T9o,98o,95o,87o,76o,54oIf we give EP something dumb like TP and BB only sets and straights, we're 44% and I think the pot is laying 1.5:1 (40%). Therefore, we should call, but it's a close decision, and the chances of him having a straight over a set obviously affect whether we should call. I think it just depends on my mood on whether I'd call this without a read.
Scott3705 0
Like DD and Cobalt said, I think we're ahead here more often than not, but we have to dodge cards. Altho, being against the BB which is where most of the money is, for some reason this smell's like a set to me. but we still have to dodge a lot of cards against him too.My Likely Scenario here against BB is a set. BrantC 0
Basically what the others have said and I have to agree here with scotty, were facing a set here, and more than likely the flush draw....
petersun 0
You have to put it all in here. There are just too many hands that you have dominated. Only a couple hands that have you beat that you have 1 out against.Just remember, this is the flop you want. Feel good about it =) Draw out that straight flush and stick it to them =)
MasterLJ 0
If you extrapolate this to another situation it becomes an easy call. You hold 22:Flop is 2 K QJordan, if I recall you were part of the bash-parade that made fun of the guy who asked if he should fold bottom set when 3 others before him were all-in. If I'm wrong, forgive me.At any rate, you have the third nuts. The likelyhood they have better already is about the same as having bottom set and someone having a higher set. Not only do you have the third nuts but you have 2 spades. If someone is drawing to 2 over-cards and the flush draw, they are in serious trouble.

That makes it right doesn' it?i was not around for the discussion of the bottom set, but I think one thing that would make this situation different is that base case scenarios here, Jordan has to dodge many more cards here. also, some times when he's behind, he's got a draw to a better hand, and some times when he's right but barely, some one will be taking a lot of his outs.Edit: I'm still calling here, but I'm much less comfortable than when i'm holding bottom set. I didn't think he'd push with two pair.I did end up calling.BB had 9d Td, EP had Ks 8dturn gave me a flush. river blank.- Jordan
