wondering what the "good players" on the forum think. what are the differences in the game when you are playing online? I've mostly broken even in live games (home) though it had nothing to do with my reading players. Online i started out by losing a bunch of money ($500 swing playing .5/1 or 1/2 tables) and then slowly going back up, all the way to minus $200 (whoo-hoo!). So far the differences that i notice is it's all about managing your stack of money. it's really easy to go broke when all your $100 is in front of you. the other difference in limit, strategy becomes more important. the game is thousands of hands long, rather than hundreds. another question. i read somewhere of poker drills (lots of exercises, trying to make the right decision). has anyone ever done that? other than playing online for hours on end? i've come up with a couple, training to think in terms of position, cheap/expensive, etc. anyone has any interest in this or anything to share? thanks...-----------------poker is mental. the first player whose mentality you must break is yourself.
