Vman96 0
muck on 3rd being first to act after the bring-in. I really hate playing high pairs in Stud8 personally. I would only open-raise if I was one of the last to act, hoping to ante steal. 4th street on was alright though.Edit: one of your queens is dead!! Fold immediately.
dingas 0
Tough hand. Not much you can do differently except folding third. But I don't blame you for playing the hand. With the doorcard ace, you have considerable chances to make people fold incorrectly on later streets if you catch low cards. Depends on the table, though - If they're clueless and will typically call down with anything, your hand loses in value. In that case, it may be better to limp in and await further developments. Rocketwadster 0
It was my first hand at the table, so I have no idea if anyone will fold to my raise on third street. In that spot (right after the bring-in), I am hoping to narrow the field with it, which more times than not it does just that (with my ace showing). If I had one of my queens showing, I would have folded. Its a fairly good concealed hand IMO. Third was the only real question I had, and I am fairly certain it can be played for a profit there (not very likely to run across TWO full-house boards every time I play it). dingas 0
Honestly, I would have played it the same as you, as would most people, I think. You just got unlucky here.
