After about two hours of action and some 30 players eliminated, he was one of the last alternates to find a seat. In his second hand of action, Phil goes all in with A-K. He is called by Mimi Rogers with pocket queens (Q-Qc). The flop drops 6c-9c-2c, the turn is 6h and the river brings the ace that Phil wants. But it is the Ac and this card gives Mimi the nut flush and sends Hellmuth home. That is great i can imagine the smile on many of the pro's faces when phil gets knocked out by someone who was on celebrity poker showdown. Yes i know Mimi is a good player and that she cashed at the last bay 101 wpt event but im sure that doesnt matter to phil as he probably yelled at her for calling off all her money with queens. It seems phil is getting more popular for his blow ups than his game and i for one hope the trend continues as his entertainment value is priceless.
hellmuth goes down to mimi rogers, hahahahahha

ah the joys in other people's misfortune. I'm not getting any joy out of it though.Look forward to seeing this on the WPT highlights though - hope they got it on tape - i mean it was an all-in confrontation with mimi and phil. that's TV.

Went during my lunch hour; knew from reading his blog that Daniel was not going to be there, but it was my first chance to see many of the pros live.Saw TJ, Raymer, Andy Bloch, Men the Master, Scotty, etc. - all hanging around as the tourney started late. Raymer was a popular guy as there were always a couple of other players coming over and chatting with him. The main table had Howard Lederer, JC Tran (someone pointed him out to me), Gavin Griffin I believe.Mimi Rogers has kept herself in good shape and there weren't too many female players so she was easy to find. Would have liked to see that play against Phil but never saw Phil as he really showed up late.Antonio, the Magician, was the first one to go out as he went all-in, jumped on top of his chair and started yelling "No Aces! No Aces!" as he had KK and the other guy had AK. Didn't work as an A fell and he was out. The Unabomber came over to console him from across the room.As we were leaving, saw David Williams hanging out with Antonio; read later that he was one of the first go out also.I'll probably go back out next Tuesday as the shooting star tourney starts up then - it was fun to see all the pros in person. And yes, TJ is a big guy!
