last night I played 10 hands in a row..or I tried but kept forgetting and foldedBut I did have two runs close together of 5/6 in a row w/o regard to the two cards.Only rule: I could fold for 2 raises before or after my call. So I called 2 cold with 94 off once.I would suggest trying it for 50 hands+ in a row....Maybe take 20 BB's and go until you go broke or 100 hands whichever comes firstmany reasons to do this at stakes you are comfortable losing money

Rather than "play every hand" I like to aim for certain stats - say 60/10/3. It's kind of interesting to see what kind of PF range you come up with to get to around 60% and then playing raise or fold after the flop makes for some interesting situations. If you're going to bet/raise 3x as often as when you call what do you call with? I've always been curious as to what kind of PF range people have who end up with a 90% VPIP. You have to have some standards to fold some of those hands but what exactly gets you to 90%.I've been tempted to try some SLPA type stats at micro limits. Mostly because those passive/aggressive types confuse the hell out of me. Shoot for 25/3/2.5 or so.

seriously?Every hand. I don't know how BB figures into that. They sneeze and hit fold by accidentHere's my thinking... took me 4 seconds... anyone with a VPiP > 45% over 300 hands doesn't have a range. They have "a feeling"

The question is how exactly would you get to 90%. Obviously you have no standards and are calling with any two. I guess the answer is that you fold 72o facing a raise.

you contradict yourself. Also, if you call every hand... how is the VPIP calculated for the BB hands that you can check...i guess its left out of denom and numeraotor

No standards for calling 1 but minimal standards for calling 2 or more? You should actually try and hit 60% sometime. It's oddly difficult - unless you randomly pick 6 of 10 hands to call. And it's amazing how loose you have to get - any A, any suited or worse.Yes, I believe if you check in the BB it's ignored for VPIP calculations. Now can you explain the SLPA types? Trying to disguise their big hands? Every time I see someone call with AA or KK pf I want to slap them. Though they often get more money out of my JJ that way.

i assumed that it was counted as if you folded from any other position. since putting $ in from an unraised big blind is an option, not raising is simply forgoing that option, meaning you had not voluntarily put money into the pot.if that is correct, than what happens if you check the big blind, but bet the flop? does that count?oh, the questions!

Out of curiosity, do you guys ever try playing low limit games with something blocking your hole cards? I would imagine this works better at no limit or shorthanded (at least at online low limit), but I've heard of doing this as an exercise to get rid of card reliance and learn to read people, but I've never discussed it with anyone who has actually done so.

at this level, that skill isn't necessarily as important as being able to play your own cards well. besides, attempting to read hands at low levels is going to just be an exercise in futility and aggravation, more often than not.
