I was just wondering what kind of hands you like to raise/call with pre-flop and in what position.

This is what people wrote books for, preflop action is by far the easiest part of poker to understand. It also happens to be the most overrated part of poker. Sklansky has a whole table set up in the beginning of Holdem Poker for Advanced Players that completely outlines how you should play preflop.
