Nope.

Ive been running over 8BB/100 for my first 1,500 at 3/6.

(and about 3.75BB/100 at 1/2 while bonus clearing over 4k hands)

I'm doing fine but noticed the games are a lot tighter than usual and a lot less full ring games with decent pot size (mostly 6-max).

I started playing 1/2 six max to clear the last party bonus and I made more bb/100 then at the 3/6 Full that I would usually play, but it was only over a couple thousand hands.

Was I just lucky with table selection or are all the 1/2 6max players really that bad?

.5/1 is TAG hell sometimes.

When it isn't, it's people slapping the mouse with their nuts donking every street, limping with AA, slowplaying monsters till the river, etc... It's kinda annoying, but then I remember, they're trying to give me money.

Tough to say what happened when the new software came in. Right then I just switched to 2/4 6 max. Started out killing the game but ... then went on a 160+ BB downswing in only 3 sessions!!! Obviously some bad play came in to effect here from the ensuing tilt, but for the most part it was overcards calling down & hitting or middle / bottom pair catching up on turn/river. Also big PP just got outdrawn right away. I heard the "variance" here is much higher, but wow, my largest downswing before was only 60BB.

I went to full ring to get my bearings back & it actually does seem a little tighter, but still pretty weak overall. During my last loss I dropped one table down to 1/2 full and it was real weak. It was nice to see people calling all the way to the river with 2nd pair or TP/WK and paying me off. It's weird, see you wish for that to happen, but you go mad when these people hit 2 pair or trips when then have no business calling!

Anyway, I can't believe people have become good enough all of a sudden to beat you, so you are definitely just running bad. You still need good cards & good hands to hold up to win at this game. It is not entirely skill you know - otherwise I would have to quit!

2/4 full is usually too tight for my liking (i started about when the switch happened), i just go to 1/2 max a lot more now.

Note: i dont have the patience to be 12th on a waiting list so i would just search for open tables. Not such a good idea, those tables usually suck; that's why people are leaving it and not sitting down. Once i opened up my filter to full tables i found more decent games...but tighter than you would expect.

A couple thousand hands simply isn't enough to answer this question.

And the SSHE 6-maxers are maniacs. Please play under your bankroll in these games. You will see huge swings in these games, especially on Party and BoDog.
