If you remember way back when we were starting this, we discussed having a championship heads up match between the two teams. Most, if not everyone, agreed that this would be the best way to end the tournament. Here is the info I recieved from marketing yesterday. If anyone has any major problems with this, please let me know and I'll forward your concerns to support & marketing or I'll address them myself - whichever best answers the question...

Regarding the Finals- 18 players (2 teams) and 9 total Heads Upmatches. How about if FCP puts $6.00 of real money in each of thefinal 18 players' accounts and then you guys can use the real moneyprivate tables to set up $5+$0.50 2-player SNG's (heads up) however youwant and whenever you want, so you guys have maximum flexibility whenscheduling these 9 matches on your own.

A couple of problems:1. Once a team wins 5 of the heads up matches, there's no point in continuing. What happens with the remaining $$$?2. Who keeps track of wins and losses? Will there be a thread where we post our own results or will someone from the organizing committee be monitoring each heads up match? These questions immediately come to mind, I'm sure there will be others. I'm not trying to throw a wrench in anything or be negative, just asking.

sounds good just as long as 6 bucks isn't more important to someone than actually playing

As for scheduling, the captains of the top two teams should get together and pick the best time for both teams. I think there should be atleast a week break in there though so as to make sure everyone on each team can clear their schedules and plan times to be available. That's a good point AJ brought up about the $6 but I would think everyone would play instead of 6 measly dollars. Maybe FCP can pull the money back out if it goes unused? I do like the idea of us scheduling the matches especially since we can create a password for it and not worry about these being messed up.What about members of each team that have been no shows? I know there have been a few teams that are "missing" players. Are these matches just going to be forfeited or is it possible for a member of the team to play twice. Maybe the members of the other (competitor) team can pick who they want to play the extra matches for the team with missing players. Forfeited matches would be huge with on a best of nine series.

I think the captains should just keep up with it, but I guess we might need a third party to ensure the results are correct. I really don't think that would be an issue but maybe if we asked nicely Figger would do it??? If not the captains should be able to keep up with it

Sounds good - I think we need a time limit though to get all of the matches done... one week in between matches is a little long IMO. Maybe we can do 3 per week like we have been doing with the main tournies.

What happens to the $10 the winner gets? Is this just free money for them, or does it come out of the prize pool?

Just free money for them. It will not come out of the prize pool (unless you want to pay administration for their work :club:).Sorry I haven't been on all day. I'm fighting a terrible cold.
