I just find the ticking reassuring during boring meetings. Yep, the clock is running on this nonsense.

I used to wear a Swatch as a kid. Then I moved on to a pocket watch. I remember at the beginning of college, my cousin's girlfriend was annoyed that he would use his cell phone to check the time. At some point it felt like extra hassle to wear a watch. Can't remember the last time I even noticed someone wearing a watch...maybe years?

I have been working extensively with management on annual review data. Basically, because the firm converted to my scheduling system, it is easy to differentiate the advisors that hustle from those that donít. Itís a good time of year for this type of exposure, and I think thereís a decent chance I get a good bonus.

I basically changed our CRM so everyone has an incentive to book meetings in a consistent way. It has made it easier to track and anticipate workload. Itís eye-opening.

Almost certain I got two new jobs with tutoring companies. Both people I spoke with essentially said that they want to hire me...so just really have to make it official. Now to decide when to put in my notice.

I got extremely lucky. If I didn't take the first job, and then meet the guy that got me the second job, it would all have played out completely differently. If I had come in a year or two later, they probably would have already thrown $100-200k at someone to try to fix these problems, and I never would have gotten the at bat. It blows my mind. I guess quite a lot of things in life seem crazy to have worked out in retrospect.

In MPLS for Thursday so Iíll probably just make something from leftovers unless somebody invites me to their family dinner and even then I might decline.

Friday is our ďFriendsgivingĒ/beer pong tourney.

Saturday/Sunday Iíll go home for family thanksgiving.

Iím excited to clock out on Wednesday. Hopefully around 2:30 pm but most likely itíll be like 6 pm because budget is hell.

Thanksgiving with the girlfriend. It was supposed to be me, her, her mom, and another relative. She has started adding more relatives since I agreed. I have let her know that this is not acting in good faith.

I'm off all week. Had some time I had to use, and it only costs me 2.5 days to get the whole week off. A good deal. Just hitting up both our parents on Thanksgiving for a couple meals.
I'd lend a hand, but it's stuck in the fist and gun position.

Strat you need to put on your holiday flexible pants. If it's only for a few hours, let her invite whoever she wants!

I'm going to my mom's. About 30 people will be there. Should be a good time, but I'll "disappear" for a few hours at some point because I'm an introvert.

I wouldn’t have agreed to go if it was more people, that’s all. I am for sure driving myself so I can check out early.
