Are you doing that on your work computer? My manager would have one and talked to me if I did that because IT flags any clicks on the career sections of websites and shit. Edit: feel free to ignore the next paragraph as its just me ramblingSpeaking of, I had been looking at jobs with NBA teams and OKC has an opening for assistant controller and it's been open for awhile but it says "4 years experience" and so I was hesitant to apply even though I think I'm qualified based off the job description. Well, I saw something randomly on reddit where people say to just disregard that so I looked back into it and turns out there's only like 4 people in the entire department, so now I'm not sure if I'd even want to do that as I'm not sure if it would be a better career choice than going into public accounting.

So take it directly to the idiot who's making the decision.

Yeah, I think it's time to tell the decision making idiot that you'll do it, but only for a substantial pay raise, and if they try to move you against your will without said substantial pay raise, you're out of there. Which is quite easy for me to say.

yeah, work computer. I had been "testing the waters" recently, looking at career sections that I could say "I'm looking for a friend!" on, and nothing came of it, so either they don't check for it, or they don't care. and considering 90% of the other employees are in pretty much the same situation I am, I'd have to imaging at least 50% of employee time is spent on job boards anyways, so they're probably used to it.

hahahaha, this killed me. perfect delivery. true too. they don't give a shit about advancement or employee retention. there's really no possible way that they can expect to keep me long term, so they're trying to get what they can out of me for the short term. jesus, at least I hope that's what they're doing. if the powers that be really think this is a good long term employee retention strategy then... fuck. they're dumb.

yeah, the one's who are "making the decisions," or really brokering the deal as it's between major departments, are high enough to fire me on the spot and not care (sort of like a bank president). but as to the second point, I've decide that's pretty much what I'm going to do. whenever the time comes, I'm going to bring up salary like I'm expecting a huge bump, and when they trot out the $1k bullshit I'll just say "yeah, no, that's not going to work." see what happens. if they say take or gtfo, I'll take it, do the bare minimum, and put in about 30 applications a day elsewhere.

NOT YOUR FAULT BROSEF. its just there is no advice for that situation. it's like in shawshank when boggs tells andy he's gonna open his fly and andy's gonna swallow what boggs gives him to swallow. you can tell them you'll bite their dicks off, but they're still going to beat you within an inch of your life.edit: and they can always butt rape you later.

So I was performing a necropsy on a cat today, and while I was cutting out the pluck (tongue, trachea, esophagus, heart, and lungs), a fly started crawling out of the esophagus. Speedz, that must have been the scariest thing you saw all day! NOPE. It was when I opened up the neck of a red-tailed hawk, accidentally cutting right into the crop, and a pile of half-digested mice tumbled out.

What's a crop? Why are you dissecting cats and birds? How did you get a hawk? How did it die?It all seems weird. I thought you did this in school but I suppose the more practice on actual animals, the better. You must have stinky fingers between those animals AND having a girlfriend AND cooking with fresh garlic. (I don't know that you've used fresh garlic recently but out really stays on your fingers when you peel and chop it. Maybe I'm just projecting on that last one.

Stainless steel. If you rub your hands on stainless steel (they make a bar for this, I use a knife I have who's handle is stainless) it makes the garlic smell go away.http://en.wikipedia....less_steel_soap

It's this pouch thing off the esophagus that starts the digestion process and stores stuff until it can go to the stomach. Birds have them, possibly reptiles too, I don't remember.I'm on the clinical pathology rotation. Looking at bloodwork in the morning, doing autopsy stuff in the afternoon. There's a wildlife center on campus. This hawk came in with head trauma, they euthanized it after 10 days when it kept getting worse. When I opened up the skull there was a big ugly lesion on the brain.

Watched "the descendants" last night/this morning. Had literally no idea what it was about other than George Clooney was in it. Meh. Shake...careerbuilder.com, I think glassdoor has listings as well. Are you on LinkedIn? Apparently using that to get jobs is a real thing. We've got an entry level accounting job open here, but I think they already have a milli resumes. Plus I kind of hope they hire that average looking single girl with low self-esteem I've mentioned before. Not that I have one in mind, thats just my ideal candidate and my boss likes hiring chicks. You understand right?

Indeed is my favorite because it pulls in job postings from careerbuilder, monster, company web sites etc... They've just recently let you post your resume and it's not great with the way it formats but it works. I would recommend posting your resume on monster, careerbuilder etc... because some recruiters/HR people do still search for resume's there. Post your resume on careerbuilder and monster etc... as well then set up a job search agent on indeed so that it sends you an e-mail as often as you wish; daily, every weds, or whatever. When you set up your profile on the job sites it will have you choose the industry and job type you're after which should, but probably won't completely, helpkeep the annoying sales and insurance jobs from bothering you too much.
