In this scenario what do you do:4 people left in a Sit N Go. Top 3 spots pay:You have 1500 the big blind in chips, chip leader has 2100 in the big blindBlinds are 150-300you are dealt A10s in the small blind, chip leader is big blind.Everyone folds to you. What do you do?Fold, Limp, Raise (if so how much)

Why am I getting a feeling of deja vu?My play would depend on the size of the other two chip stacks. If they are even with me, I raise to 900. If they are about to get blinded out, I squint my eyes tightly until my hole cards look more like a 27 than an A10. And then I fold, and sleepwalk my way into the money.

i'd raise. i think 900 sounds like a good amount as well. hopefully they fold if not i got pretty decent ammo and would have to be ready to go all in if pushed there.

actually if i was on a cold streak or my bankroll was getting low, folding and getting third wouldn't be so bad. but i still think in my gut you gotta raise right there. i mean the big stack only has 600 more chips. calling is gonna hurt him pretty bad. i would think unless he has a pretty damn good hand he's gonna just walk away.

your not factoring in the utg not even having enough chips to complete the BB on the next round

I was thinking the same thing about the deja vu part.As far as per your reply. Raising to 900 here, why bother? You're committing yourself to pushing in on the flop regardless of what hits. If you're gonna raise to that, you might as well push all-in. Considering the chip leader isn't that much bigger than you, you're definitely in the hunt to win this thing. In this situation, I would probably push in. He would have to have a damn good hand to call you down here. I would like to know what the other stacks are at though. As per the other scenario, where the guy was about to be blinded out, I would probably fold, but that's because the chip leader could call you down with a wider variety of hands.

Because we already know the result of the hand, and pushing all-in takes me out of the tournament when the K hits the flop. I'll still survive to the money with my 600 chips after the UTG player blinds out on the next hand after I fold post-flop. ;)But seriously, to me 900 looks like a "follow me in" raise whereas all-in looks like a "please let me steal your blind" raise. A good BB player will probably re-raise me all in anyway (in which case, I'd fold, knowing that his K10 will crush my A10.), but with the less savvy players 900 can buy the blind. All-in will invite the call. IMHO. Obviously, this depends on the type of player sitting in the BB and your table image.
