I was in a hand the other night in a $1-$2 NL game and I had JJ. I raised to $6 preflop and got two callers. Flop came 2,3,3 (I'm thinking this is the perfect flop for me) so I bet out $15 and again both players call (worries me a little that both people call on that board). The turn brings a 10 and I bet out $75 and I get called by both players one of which is all in (Should have this brought up flags? It was an overbet to see where I was at but I really didn't use it too well I don't think. Should I be thinking full house? or overpair? Overpair may be slow playing me) On the river is the play that made me the maddest. The river brought another 2 and I thought to myself "I HAVE to be good here" and bet $100 and I get reraised IMMEDIATELY all in by the other live bettor. Because of the size of the pot I called even though my mind told me I shouldn't. When the side pot hands opened up the live guy had A3 offsuit for a full house! Here comes the kicker... the other player had quad deuces for the main!!! I was really mad at myself after this hand as I had thought I had played it very poorly. I think I made the right play up until the river. I believe the cold call for $75 should've raised some flags. Any suggestions of how I could've played this differently in order to get more information?
Awwwww, I almost have a straight!
