Blinds are 200-400. 3 people left.

Hero has 3700 in chips with A :icon_suit_club: A :icon_suit_spade:
Villain has 3500 in chips.

SB folds. Villain (BB) checks. Hero (button) raises 1500

Flop A :icon_suit_heart: K :icon_suit_diamond: 5 :icon_suit_club:

Villain raises 1500. Hero pushes all in.

Turn : 7 :icon_suit_heart:

River: 2 :icon_suit_heart:

I know that it is only the PF and Flop, but comments on if this was played correctly. Should i have just called the flop bet since there were no flush/straight draws on the board? Villain only had 1000 in chips after flop raise, so he was most likely going to go all in on the turn anyways. So should i have called to see the turn and then decide whether or not to risk my stack.

I don't get it. Doesn't the Villain only have 500 chips left?

You are playing this hand no matter what the rest of the board looks like. All you can do by waiting is lose your market. Get his stack now.

Exactly what card could fall on the turn which would make you all of a sudden decide to fold?

Um, when Villain bets 1500 on the flop he only has another 500 behind (or possibly 900 if his 3500 is after posting) - no big difference.

Why wouldn't you just push...he's committed...he's calling.

Like you said, he's going all in anyway, whether now or on the turn.

Are you really folding to a T, J or Q on the turn?

Frankly, I'd have pushed from the button pf hoping it looks like a steal.

Why does the SB fold, BB check, and then you act on your hand preflop?
