I wanted to have more than this pinned, so there's the Strategy and Resource guide pinned at the top with this included.

I think they are.Whenever I make a final table almost everybody there with me...at least in the final 5 or so...is a winning low limit player. Last year when I was killing these things I used to see fish bowls on sharkscope at final tables with me. I haven't seen one in ages. Last year at this time 8/9 at the final table were huge donkfish...now maybe 2 or 3 of the 9 are. The rest are profitable grinders.

Hi, all. I don't really post on here ever, just read mostly, but I gotta say, this is exactly the type of advice of I've been looking for, for a very long time. As it turns out, some of it I was already applying, which was good to have reinforced. I've been doing very well at the $5 and $10 27 and 18 sng's, 3 or 4 wins out of the last 6 or 7 I've played, and I've won a couple with bigger fields, but I've been looking for just the kind of specific advice I've seen here. I will try to post some of my views as well if I could ever get away from the damn table, heh. Just wanted to say thanks :club:

I remember this as an excellent post, some of the concepts are not what I apply myself and possibly slightly old but it is generally A+Rereading, I'm especially interested in this

If I do find myself short-stacked at the final table, I find myself stop-and-going like a madman. I've found it to be an incredibly effective strategy for rebuilding my stack if I get down to the 10kish range. That doesn't mean I become reckless or start targetting the wrong stacks - 10k is still very respectable and you are one double up away from being in serious contention again.
I really need to stop and go more than I do- esp in the spot he mentions here - it's way more effective than I realised.I may write a guide on multitabling 180 mans these days if I get bored one morning. I do play quite a lot of the ****ers and they are the greatest

Shaundeeb also has a 180man tutorial on 2+2 that is a must read. It's quite the long thread but definitely worth the read.

I browsed this post a while back, but didn't have money on Stars. I recently started playing these and did not have much success, so I reviewed this post to get some pointers.I played 4 of these tonight, busted out early in 2, am still in with a good stack in the 2nd hour, and was poised to make a deep run in a 3rd before a tough beat with QQ vs JJ on a 9 high board. One slight note since this was posted:The blind levels once antes start are slightly different. It's no longer 100/200 and then 100/200/25. It's now 125/250/25, and then 150/300/25.Not sure if this would change anything strategically, but I did notice the difference
